Born in San Antonio, Jerrod went on to obtain his law degree with honors from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. While in law school, Jerrod served on the SMU Law Review and was an Associate Editor of the Air Law Symposium. Before attending law school, Jerrod graduated from The University of Texas at Austin where he was a member of the Silver Spurs, the organization responsible for handling BEVO.
Jerrod has spent the past 7 years in Dallas litigating cases at some of the most prestigious law firms in Texas. Jerrod has also represented businesses and individuals located across the country in numerous disputes. Jerrod focuses his practice on commercial litigation matters, including oil and gas, real estate, construction, condemnation, and landlord/tenant issues. Jerrod’s clients have included commercial property owners and management companies, financial institutions, residential builders and homeowners, subcontractors, energy service companies and operators, distributors, RV dealers, employers, trucking companies, and various other businesses. Jerrod has represented businesses in the prosecution and defense of contract and tort matters in a wide array of lawsuits including arbitration.
Jerrod is also proud to come from a family of small business owners. His grandparents owned a grocery store and an RV park in San Antonio, and his father has been practicing at the law firm bearing his name for approximately 30 years ago.
Jerrod enjoys raising his two boys with his wife Polly, a 1993 graduate of Pine Tree, playing golf, and attending UT football games.
