Mark is a good guy who tries hard. I personally think he just needs more experience and needs to be a little more aggressive. (which I'm sure will happen as he gets the experience) If you have a simple case, Mark is a good attorney.
I had an issue with old traffic tickets that had caused a hold to be put onto my driver's license. Mark Cohan took care of the tickets and the hold with a minimal amount of work on my part. He was very explicit with the expectations from my end and kept an open line of communication. Whenever I had questions about paperwork or the status of my case, he promptly answered in a way I could understand.
I would highly recommend Mr. Cohan to anyone seeking legal advice. I never felt like I was another client, and he always presented himself as knowledgeable and thorough. If for some reason I should ever need help with a legal issue, I will certainly call Mr. Cohan first.
Mark is a very good attorney, he is working on a case for me, I live out of state.. Mark and I keep in touch and he keeps me informed on how or what I need to do.. I am thankful for Mark, he is a very nice person, and is willing to bend over backwards to help a person out..
I recommend him to anyone that is not shady, and wants a great attorney.. If I ever need him in the future I will be requesting his services... I am over all happy with him..
When my father passed away without a will, I had no idea what to do with his estate. After a little bit of research, I contacted Mark Cohan and he walked me through the probate procedure. With his help, he made a daunting process a lot easier and his knowledge on the subject was very helpful.
Later on I returned to him with another job, this time with some questions my girlfriend had regarding a personal injury claim stemming from a car accident. He was able to steer us through the stressful process with relative ease. Needless to say, I've got him bookmarked for future use should the necessity arise!
After a client made some questionable revisions to my standard contract, I thought I needed a lawyer. I asked around and my friends recommended Mark Cohan. I was very impressed by his knowledge and thoroughness as he went through the lengthy contract and client revisions with a fine-tooth comb, explaining every detail in laymen's terms along the way. He made the necessary changes to protect our business and did it for a very reasonable rate.
I went to Mark a second time after someone close to me passed away. He helped us understand what needed to be done with her estate, what we could expect, and helped us with all the legal details regarding transfer of title and probate. If I ever need a lawyer again, I'm coming to Mark.
I have been in the market to get a will drawn up for some time, especially after the death of my uncle last year resulted in a messy estate with no will, and as a result my family was left to deal with his left-over bills and burial costs with no recourse besides their own funds. Although Mark is not located in Austin, he was recommended to me by a friend and after a short email correspondence made it clear that not only would our locations not be an issue, but I would be able to reduce costs in some ways since most of our interaction would be through email.
The process of creating the will was much easier than I imagined, and Mark was always available to answer any questions or concerns I had. Additionally, he went out of his to make sure that my will planned for any likely future events, such as marriage or children, so that it would be a document that I would not have to get modified or replaced for some time.
I would most definitely recommend Mark to anyone within the Dallas and Central Texas area if you are in need of legal services. He is a motivated, trustworthy, and diligent attorney, and I would not hesitate to call on him again when I am in need of legal advice or counsel.
