I retained Mr. Hulett in March of this year (2014). My check was cashed within 2 days. I did not call him until after I had not heard anything on a simple case (his words) for two months. First time his assistant told me I had the wrong number and hung up in my face, called back and no answer. I have called, e-mailed, text, and sent a certified letter. It is now November and I have not heard anything from him and he will not answer his phone. I checked with all parties involved and no one has heard anything from him. He did not hesitate to cash my check but he will not communicate with me at all. All I can say is don't hire this man you will be sorry. The sad part about it is he was very knowledgeable. But at this point all I want from him is a refund.
W. Eric Hulett handled my divorce case poorly. He locked me into an agreement and required me to pay the full amount upfront. He was then completely unresponsive to me and my case. Early in our relationship it was clear I had chosen a bad lawyer. He never returned calls and his voice mail was usually full. I then tried to release him and he would no sign the release until I had the Texas Bar intervene. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LAWYER.
Mr. Hulett is the most knowledgeable attorney I have ever known. (And believe me, I should know, I have been employed by attorneys in big law firms my whole career.) But I was at a loss when I needed a lawyer for my divorce and its associated complicated custody issues. I was also intimidated by my ex’s counsel and, needess to say, that really undermined my confidence in my case.
When I met with Mr. Hulett, I discovered an ethical and moral attorney who keeps his cool -- no matter what the opposition throws his way. He kept me informed of all issues involved in my case, and was responsive to all my additional (sometimes crazy) questions, calls and concerns. I also discovered his legal knowledge is certainly not limited to family difficulties, but fortunately for me, Family Law is his chosen area of expertise. I was realistic enough to know every issue wouldn’t be a win for me, but Mr. Hulett certainly explained beforehand what I could and could not expect to happen. He also realized that my chidren and I were working through a very difficult period in our lives. I feel he truly understands the complex emotions encountered when working through high stress, personal legal matters.
All things considered, I will continue to hire Mr. Hulett whenever the need may present itself.
I had a fantastic experience working with Mr.Hulett on my divorce and custody case. He was always there to answer my questions, VERY reasonably priced, and willing to fight for me. I highly recommend him.
WOW is all I can say this attorney is the worst attorney I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. He had bad reviews on this sight and magically they have all disappeared.......isnt that the purpose of a review? Any how please do your self a favor and steer clear of this person he will take your money and do NO work! I filed a grievance with the state bar of Texas and he is currently under review
Finally a brilliant attorney who doesnt judge, isveasybtonunderstand, and doesnt overcharge ! Eric navigated me through a bad divorce and very complicated custody battle. He always knew what my options were and explained them in a way I could understand, and I knew the cost up front. I switched from another attorney to Eric and I'm so glad I did
