About MeI earned my J.D. from Texas Wesleyan University in 2005, graduating in the top 15% of my law school class. In January 1999, I earned my Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in International Relations at Austin College.
My law practice focuses on probate, guardianship, and family law. I am a certified attorney ad litem through the State Bar of Texas and have been appointed by the Courts to act as an ad litem and amicus attorney in numerous cases both in probate court and family court. I am a member of the Probate Section and Family Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association, the College of the State Bar, and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL). I served as co-chair of the DAYL Aid to the Homeless Committee from 2006-2010, and frequently accept pro bono cases through the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program (DVAP) in East Dallas. In 2007, I was awarded the Outstanding Clinic Attorney Volunteer for the DVAP East Dallas Clinic. In 2006, I co-authored the paper entitled “Preservation of Error in Offering and Excluding Evidence,” which was presented by A. Michelle May at the University of Houston CLE on “How to Offer and Exclude Evidence.” I live with my husband, Jason, in Lakewood (East Dallas), with our rescue cats and dogs. Together, we enjoy playing golf, traveling, and spending time with our adoptees. |
