I am here to recommend Brian Corrigan for any case that you may have. Last New Year's Eve I went through airport security and forgot that I had a switchblade knife from my knife collection in my backpack. I was arrested at the airport and my case was considered a "Weapon in Prohibited Area" offense. This is a Class C Felony.
It is not illegal to have a switchblade knife in the house but it is illegal to carry a switchblade. I had no intention of bringing my switchblade onto the airplane whatsoever.
I did a lot of research and read that Brian Corrigan had great reviews for getting the best possible outcomes for clients' cases and for working well with clients. Those reviews could not have been more true.
This was the first (and hopefully last) time I had to hire a lawyer. Brian Corrigan made the process as painless as possible. He was always timely in his responses, kept me informed all through the process, and made me feel comfortable and at ease the whole time (because a possible Class C Felony is life-changing).
Brian Corrigan was first able get the charges for my case dropped. I was therefore never formally charged with a Class C Felony. He then got the case expunged so that the records show that I was never even arrested and that this case never happened. This accident turned into a possible life-ruining event is now not even recorded in the system. This is just a memory.
I cannot express how thankful I am for him getting my Class C Felony case expunged. I absolutely recommend Brian Corrigan and I would not think twice about using him again in the future.

Brian Corrigan is a tremenous attorney. He took my case when I needed professional legal help. He was very informative and compassionate toward my case and acted as if my case was his one and only concern. He was very up front about what we could expect from the District Attorney and he was extremely positive in every meeting or phone call we had. He kept me informed on each and every issue that came up in my case. He was very candid about what he was doing and why he was doing it. He also used another professional in my case and this was extremly piviotal in the results in my case. Brian, being a former Assistant DA, knows the system and uses it to his and his clients advantage. Brian truly cares for his clients. Not only did we talk about my case but he was also interested in my hobbies and what I like to do. I was also able to intereact with him about his family and his hobbies. Brian is a truly caring person. I would definately recommend him to anyone with legal issues.

We were blessed to have found him at the right time. We talked to several lawyers and everyone was talking about going to trial or getting the case dismissed in 3 weeks or more time. When we met Brian he was very patient , listened and understood our situation. Our case dismissal was a long shot. He made it happen in less than a week. We couldn't have asked for more. We were speechless when he called to inform us that the case was dismissed in such a short time. He is brilliant, he doesnot promise the stars but delivers results beyond expectations. Brian, we cannot thank you enough for what you had done for us. We have our lives back together because of him.

Brian with his experience, excellent industry recognition, passion to help those in need and deep knowledge and expertise in criminal defense, was able to get my case dismissed even before it was filed at court. Brian promises what is achievable and works hard to accomplish beyond the set expectations. I was involved in a very unfortunate family violence assault. My wife and I realized that this incident happened in the heat of the moment and wanted to put this behind. We wanted this incident to be nothing but a positive impact in our lives. Brian understood our situation very well and was willing to help. Considering that we are immigrant workers here, the case had to result in nothing less than a dismissal. And that is exactly what Brian got us. We thank God for helping us choose him and help Brian accomplish our goal. Brian, we'd like to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation for your service and wish you all the very best!

I am overwhelmed in excitement on the outcome of my case. I was charged with possession of marijuana between 5 and 50 pounds. I mailed 10 pounds of marijuana through UPS and it never left the UPS store, because they searched the box for suspicion. After the box never made it to its destination, I either thought the box was stolen or picked up by detectives. 2 weeks later detectives came to my home with a warrant to take my fingerprints. It took about 3 weeks for the lab results to come back. In the mean time I knew my livelihood was on the line. So I immediately got an attorney; big time attorneys, based out of California. Now, before I paid for the services of these attorneys, I was nervous, because I have always looked at attorneys as people that use your faults against you and intimidate you to thinking you may have to "x" amount of jail or prison time and lure you in to paying their overpriced hourly rate. In this case, I was right. They charged me for a federal case, because the box was caught by a mail carrier. They informed me of when I had to turn myself in, because the results came back positive. THAT'S ALL THEY DID. Well, I discontinued their services and continued researching for attorneys. I came across Brian Corrigan and another attorney that has a great reputation. The other attorney was just caught up on money. That was his only concern, which made me nervous. He told me to talk to him when I come up with the money, but he didn't know if i had the money or not. So, I moved forward with Attorney Brian Corrigan. Brian came off genuine and he really cared about my livelihood. He kept me informed on what was going on. He informed me that the case was not a federal case. He laid everything out on the table and told me every possible outcome. He had me submit personal documents to him and he put together a packet and a letter about the person I really am. That was amazing. Brian stayed on top of the prosecutor, but not pushy. He had the case reduced from a Third Degree Felony to a Class A Misdemeanor. The outcome of the case is jaw-dropping and he is more than money's worth. I would like to apologize for my thoughts on attorneys. It takes years to be an attorney and even more hard work to gain and maintain a good reputation.

Brian is the best. We give him the highest recommendation to anyone serious about getting the best legal outcome. Brian has a rare combination of skill, direct experience, and practical application. His years as a Prosecutor have deftly taught him the differences between a good defense and a bad defense. Originally we had another attorney working the case. He came highly recommended. It took us about 2 months to realize our first attorney was either not interested or over his head. Our case was very serious because the sentence for our daughter was mandatory Life without possibility of parole. For our daughter, her husband, and their three children, this seemed like a nightmare (not to mention how we felt). It was especially depressing since we knew the facts of the situation.
When we searched for a replacement attorney, it was the reviews in Avvo that told us Brian was potentially the best choice. Now we are happy to report from actual experience that Brian was the best choice.
From the very beginning Brian took charge. He had a game plan and executed as he said he would. Brian was sensitive to our emotions and always laid out a clear path forward when we had questions. As we traveled the legal path with Brian, he would explain the options we had. They amounted to risk-reward choices. He made recommendations, but always let us make the final choices. Brian was easily available by phone with quick responses. He didn’t always tell us what we wanted to hear, but Brian would explain in great detail why things took the direction they took. As the case proceeded, it got more complicated due last minute additional allegations. Brian didn’t miss a beat. He immediately knew what to do. He explained his new approach and again explained the choices we had.
Brian does his research. A significant part of Brian’s research revealed that one of the charges against our daughter was technically incorrect. The Prosecutor was not aware of that technicality, so the charge had to be dropped. While all this was taking place, Brian had background work taking place. On a parallel path Brian kept our daughter busy (evaluations, counseling and training) to put her in the best possible position for her day in court.
Months later, in front of the Judge, we felt very prepared. Brian had been in discussions with the Prosecutor and there was general agreement to settle for a charge of 10 years with possible parole. After presenting additional facts, Brian was able to get agreement on 9 years. Our case had come a long way from the original sentencing of Life without possible parole. It is hard to convey the emotion, but a 9 year sentence is a VERY big difference from Life without the possibility of parole. As the Judge listened to the case, he halted the entire proceeding. The Judge left the courtroom and came back with some bad news. One of the Prosecutor's charges would have to be increased due to the legal criteria. This put the 9 year agreement in jeopardy. Without skipping a beat, Brian approached the Prosecutor with a recommendation to change one word in the charge. The Prosecutor agreed. Changing one word allowed our daughter to only get the 9 year sentence and possible parole.
After the Judge's sentencing and outside of the courtroom Brian answered all our questions. He also offered to provide any legal guidance we might need in the future. We took him up on that offer. About two weeks after the trial, we asked Brian for a Parole attorney recommendation. He had a name and contact info that has proven to be very helpful.
I am a busy person and wouldn't spend this time telling our story unless I thought it was worthwhile. By writing this review I hope it helps at least one person benefit from Brian's expertise. Thank you Brian!!!!!!

The " best Lawyer in Texas "
I live in Irving, TX and i was involved in Domestic violence case and i have heavy charges on me .
when i was looking for the attorney one of my friend's friend recommend me one lady lawyer ( Erin Melsheimer ) and she is the worst lawyer i have ever met she came to me with the offer from the court like 2 yrs probation and even though i was not sure at that time what to do , one thing i was sure that this offer is not good at all and at that point i decided to look for another lawyer who can fight my case and come up with best offer , so this time i started looking for the lawyer myself and i met 4 to 5 different lawyer and i select Brian Charles Corrigan , why i select him because from the first time i met him he was very confident that he is going to dismissed my case, his customer service is excellent, i never had to worries about remembering anything like my dates he always kept me informed , he reply phone calls right away , he always pick up the phone i never has to leave him message. He really understand the person who is in trouble and try to help him/her from his heart not just for the money . He is very helpful and he proved what ever he promised.
First day when i met him he said he is going to dismissed my case and he did it for me. My first lawyer came with 2 yrs probation which i was almost going to accept but thanks to god that he send Brian Charles Corrigan for my help and today i am free from all my charges and living happily with my family.
Thank you very much Brian for all your help .

I was charged with Class B Misdemeanor and that can have some serious implications. However after making one bad decision I made an EXCELLENT decision of hiring Brian to represent me.
He had all the charges dropped even before the 1st Court Hearing by working with the DA. Additionally he got me an Early Expunction. I met Brian in May 2013 for my case and all the charges plus Expunction were done by Mid-SEPTEMBER 2013.
He was patient, awesome and supportive throughout the time providing us all the details and next steps. I would recommend Brian in a Heart Beat.
When my case happened I went and met 5 Different attorney's. The reason I chose Brian was based on the first 5 mins of my meeting with him. He held me accountable for my actions but then also committed to me that he will do everything to help me based on my situation. That is what made me believe in Brian and based on the results and timeline I am surely a happy camper.

I, thankfully, found Brian on Avvo after learning from my previous lawyer defending my criminal case that the best plea agreement offer from the DA was for two years in prison (on a charge that could have cost me from two to ten years). That previous lawyer was satisfied that two years was the best I could expect.
Any prison time at all would have been financially, emotionally , and physically devastating for my family and me.
Brian showed me immediately that he is a man with a plan, apparently backed by outstanding knowledge, experience, and ability. He was always clear with his counsel, answering any questions I had throughout the legal process with perception and patience. He apparently cared about me as a person, as he updated me whenever he learned something new about my case, and as he responded quickly to any questions or inputs I might have.
Brian worked diligently to get me the best possible outcome and his efforts produced results for which I am gloriously thankful. I was placed on Community Supervision, an outcome that allows me to continue being productive in my community, and an outcome that lets me continue loving and providing for my family.

Mr. Corrigan was very open and honest with me and my expunction case. He kept me informed and up to date with what was going on. Each time he made a proposal to the District Attorney, he kept me informed of the decisions and the time line

He is a attorney that truly cares about his clients and that is hard to find. I highly recommend this attorney to any and everyone!!

I came to Brian Corrigan about 2 months ago when my boyfriend was arrested in New York City and was being extradited to Dallas, Texas for violating his deferred adjudication for an aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. When I first started my research for this I found out he could be facing 5 to 99 years in prison. After talking to Brian Corrigan he reassured me that we were going to aim to get his probation re-instated in Texas, Brian Corrigan did one better then that with a lot of work he got him off with time served and no probation. You can only imagine how overwhelmed with happiness I was. Brian Corrgian is an amazing lawyer who went above and beyond to get my boyfriend the best deal possible he truly cares about his client and the outcome of the case. Brian Corrigan communicated with me and my boyfriend throughout the case and really helped us. We are forever grateful for his dedication and hard work , he gave my boyfriend the opportunity to start a new life. I recommend him for anyone going threw legal issues as he really is a miracle worker.

Since I live in Chicago, I was a little apprehensive about hiring a lawyer without meeting him first. I found Brian on Avvo, and since he was a former prosecutor, I called him first, and, after calling a few other lawyers, chose Brian to handle my boyfriend's probation violation case. After discussing some of the suggestions other lawyers had made, Brian explained why the aggressive suggestion (that sounded good to us because it would have relieved us of jail immediately) was NOT a good idea. Turns out, Brian was right- being overly aggressive would not have given us the long term positive results we ended up getting.
We had a difficult case- my boyfriend was charged with a felony assault while on vacation in Texas from Chicago, and got 10 years probation in 2008. Luckily, he was able to transfer his probation to continue his life in Chicago, and ended up in an incident that caused him to be arrested for several misdemeanor battery's (and resisting arrest) in Chicago in 2012. Though his misdemeanor case had yet to go to trial, the state of Texas came for him for violating his probation and extradited him from Chicago to Texas. This gave Brian TWO issues to deal with. It looked bad- we were devastated and thought my boyfriend might end up having to serve his probation sentence in a Texas jail.
That's when Brian came to the rescue! With my boyfriend in jail and me in Chicago, everything had to be done with me over the phone- Brian kept me informed of every little change, idea, conversation he had with the district attorney in Texas and the district attorney in Chicago, and managed to get the Chicago case completely dismissed, and my boyfriends probation reinstated with NO extra time added, NO extra community service hours. Probation was reinstated with 0 strings attached.
Since my boyfriend was arrested in Chicago, I picked up his wallet and clothes from the county in Chicago before he'd been transferred to Texas, so he was about to be released with no wallet, no clothes, and no way home. Brian was kind enough to let me mail HIM the wallet, and use him as a Texas ATM machine and arranged for my boyfriend to have a place to pick up his wallet so he could get a bus ticket back to Chicago.
My gut was right with the first phone call I made, and as stressful as it was dealing with this case (for me and my boyfriend), Brian alleviated all our worries and pulled some magic tricks that were beyond belief. Now, not only is the Chicago case dismissed, and probation reinstated without contingencies, BUT Brian revealed that my boyfriends probation can be presented in two years for possible reduction in time AND when the time is reduced (because we will ABSOLUTELY get Brian on that), it's a felony charge that can be expunged from his record. News neither of us had any idea was possible.
There are not enough stars to give Brian. He has helped us in ways we could not have imagined possible. Keeping me up to date when I'm so far away, helping my boyfriend understand exactly what is happening with his Chicago AND probation case, getting things to magically disappear (the misdemeanors AND news of expungment), and then getting things to appear in Texas from Chicago (wallet and money a la personal ATM) makes this man a magician of his field.
So many thanks to him!

If you are looking for a lawyer that truely cares about his clients Brian Corrigan is the right lawyer. My son has been battling drug issues for over ten years and I had not been able to find anyone to help him. A friend of mine told me about what he had been able to do for her son. The first time I met Brian I knew he was the right person for our situation. He was able to get my son in intensive out patient re-hab the same day he got out of jail. Brian believed in my son and in turn that helped my son believe in himself. A lot of people wanted me to give up on my son but as his mother I couldn't do that. I know that because of Brian's help and understanding my son's life was saved. Brian Corrigan is a wonderful lawyer and I would reccomend him to anyone.

Brian was great! He took my husband's case when most attorneys wouldn't and got the best outcome imaginable. He explained all the options and listened to his client. He is easy to talk to, responds quickly, and is very knowledgable of what is going on. Even if our outcome was different, I would still say he is a great attorney. He seems to be respected in the legal community which is very important.

He was very honest and fair on his accessment of my case. Explained everything in a way that I could understand it. Explained the process and all of my options available, and didn't sugar coat it. I will be recommending him to anyone and everyone that will listen. He stayed on top of the whole process and would call with updates when they happened and would call and just check on me to see if I needed anything. To sum it up in one word 'Superb'!

Brian, responded to my request immediately considering this holiday time. He was caring and attentive to my specific legal needs and knew what specific legal strategies were necessary to provide a favorable outcome per my legal needs and defense. I was truly amazed by his legal knowledge, connections and also more educated in knowing my legal rights and due process. When other Criminal Attorneys advised for me to wait to see what happens, Brian was pro-active in assisting me in taking control of my outcome opposed to leaving my fate in the control of others. Brian walks his talk! His prosecution experience makes ALL The difference in the World! Thanks Brian Again and Happy Holidays to you and your family!

Being a younger client I have felt judged and not taken seriously by my other attorneys. Brian gives you a comfortable feeling and genuinely cares about you and your case. I am very satisfied with the results of my 3 cases in Dallas.
RECOMMEND this attorney. 5 stars is not enough. Will be sticking with this attorney in the future to get my record expunged.

From the first phone call, I knew Brian was the right attorney for me and my case. He quoted me a fee for handling my case and actually stuck to that fee. He was very knowledgeable about the law, and how it pretained to the facts in my case. He was excellent about keeping me informed with the progression of my case, and what direction he intended on taking next. His demeanor to me as a client was never judgemental, and he made me feel very secure in the fact that we would come out on top of the "charges". And yes, we did. I later hired Brian for a second step of expunction in my case, and I was just as pleased with the results. Brian was my first experience with a criminal attorney, and I do hope my last. If you find yourself in a situation that you are seeking an attorney, I would hightly recommend Brian.

I am so grateful to have found Brian. He was there for me when I found myself in a bad situation. I was terrified because I had no idea what to do or what was going to happen. He listened to me and seemed to really care about me and my case. He was easy to get in touch with and when I did have to leave a voicemail or send am email he always replied quickly. He was great at keeping me informed of what was going on with my case. He got my case dismissed when we did not think that was possible. He is the best out there and I HIGHLY reccommend him to anyone.

My name is Ashley. I was accused of 2 counts of physical contact assault. Brian is a very good lawyer...he basically caught all of the witnesses in their lie in court in front of the DA. I would truly recommend him because he is very knowledgeable, he kept me informed....very responsive and he was very trustworthy. He is truly a genuine, nice person. But when he is in court he does not play!! He was very professional and aggressive in court. He changed my whole perception of lawyers. They are not all out to get money. There are actually excellent lawyers like Brian who wants to truly help the clients. Both cases were dismissed on the same day. Thanks Brian and God Bless.

He never makes you feel like a criminal; instead ,he gives you excellent advice on what you can do to move in the right direction to help your case! He's the kind of lawyer you want beside you in court because he will go above and beyond for you. I will always be so very grateful for Mr. Corrigan for keeping my family together, so when you need legal help he's definitely the guy to call! I came to Brian in serious trouble, legally and personally. I had several drug and weapons charges and had resigned myself to a lifestyle that was heading nowhere fast. Instead of just getting me through the system, Brian directed me to a new life. He was more interested in my longterm life outcome than any shortterm plea. Brian helped get me placed in a drug rehab facility, and was always interested in my progress. I consider him a large part of my 'success story'. I am truly better off now both physically and mentally than I was before my run in with the law. His involvement in my case made the difference between me just getting through the system or actually changing the way I was living. His positive attitude and passion for his work showed with every meeting. My life was virtually ruined, but thanks to Brian's efforts and guidance, my life will be better than I had ever imagined. I now have a future and my legal troubles were a mere bump in the road and a wake up call. Brian put my life back on track and I will be forever grateful for his councel. He has my fullest recommendation.

I've worked with Brian on behalf of my husband who was charged with a misdemeanor. This was the first for us so it was scary and overwhelming.
I've contaced a couple of attorneys I've found thru the intertnet via email. Brian called back immediately after I've posted my inquiries. Even though the other attorney's fees were less I decided to go with Brian because of his prompt and personal response and also his knowledge, experience and comforting attitude. Brian was able to resolve the case prior to my husband's court date and the case is now settled and dissmissed. Every concern and inquiry we had Brian responded to immediately. Simply the best!

I hired Brian about 2 and half weeks ago. He was amazing I had a felony warrant. From the first phone call Brain was very helpful and encouraging. He reassured me that he would do what ever it took to make sure this would get resolved. I sent him the information he requested. Brian got to work that day! He stayed in contact with me almost everyday. Which was important because I live almost 7 hours from his office. He called me to tell me that the case had been dismissed!!! Just 3 weeks after I hired him. I never had to go to his office or to court! I would use him again if ever needed and would recommend him to anyone! Just a great guy.

Brian Corrigan is an extremely capable, honest, and responsive attorney, who not only understood my family's unique needs, but met and exceeded them. I live in Florida, and my daughter's legal difficulty was in Texas. Brian kept me clearly, and frequently, informed throughout our dealings. He was quickly, and personally, available to me to answer any questions, and to advise. Brian achieved the desired goal in a timely manner through his expertise, determination, perseverance, and by going the extra mile for me, and my family. I was charged with DWI, I was nervous, confused about what I would be facing and generally depressed about the whole thing. I hired Brian and from the beginning, he explained exactly what would happen and when. He reviewed the evidence and gave me good advice, I followed it and things turned out better than I thought they would. When I emailed or called him, he was easy to get a hold of. He was professional, but easy to talk to and understanding of the delicate nature of my situation. I would recommend Brian Corrigan to anyone in need of an attorney.

I was charged with a felony and thanks to Brian it was dismissed. He quickly went into offensive mode and instructed me to take classes that pertained to my case. The accuser confessed she was lying and the DA seeing I took classes promptly dropped my case. During the entire time Brian was alway very responsive. He would always return my phone calls on the rare occasion I didn't reach him. I always felt informed and comfortable going forward with Brian by my side.

Brian got me the very best deal i could get.... From looking at 2-10 years prison he got me probation and a short period of time of work release. What really surprised me by far was that he actually cares. You don't feel like just a client with him, which to my knowledge is very rare in a lawyer.

I have worked for lawyers for 18 years or more. Brian Corrigan answers his phone, he does what he says he will and BEYOND...my son was in deep, deep trouble. Brian was able to get him the very best deal with the DA, got him moved into a safe place in the jail and also sat with my son and talked to him about his decision regarding his sentence. He had compassion and gave our family REAL help. He is WORTH every penny. I highly recommend this man to help you in criminal defense - he has a true heart and is a good person along with being a lawyer which is a truly RARE combination.
