Launched wireless strategy for EPICTOUCH, increasing subscribers 30% per month and revenues nearly 50% over prior year’s results. Company’s core service category, voice, was moving to wireless and usage of firm’s network was rapidly decreasing. Built a business plan for wireless service to counter the competitive impact, seizing new voice opportunities in wireless. Launched the new wireless service, creating firm’s fastest growing business segment.
Designed powerful re-branding strategy, growing both customer base and revenues 10% in record time. Company name was confusing potential clients, making it difficult to understand type and scope of business. Reviewed industry marketing terms and recommended changing the name of the firm’s wireless service to EPICPCS to leverage branding style utilized by prominent wireless companies. Changed name of cellular service, quickly growing client base.
Turned around poorly performing regional wireless operation, increasing sales 32%. Sales of one of the firm’s wireless stores were in a downward spiral due to unpopular location. Searched for better location to provide more customer traffic. Leased site in highest customer traffic area and arranged for EPICTOUCH to temporarily carry 80% of lease payments. Relocated store, driving up revenues and improving store’s ranking from last to first place among all stores.
Revamped operations, quickly reducing costs 5% and supporting sales increases to 5% in just six months. The cost of operations for the company’s cable television business were rising and sales were flat. Repackaged services to promote a more popular product mix. Built fiber optic network that supported voice, data, and video services, replacing outmoded dual video and telephone networks. Reduced operating costs by outsourcing some operations to a neighboring telecom provider. Increased sales and reduced operating costs.
Rebuilt product portfolio, improving efficiency of sales force and dramatically increasing revenue. Wireless sales increases were declining while the stores were selling wireless service and electronic products. Electronics products were losing money and taking significant sales representative time. Recommended discontinuing the electronic products division to enable increased concentration on the sales of wireless services. Risk of losing revenues and damage to corporate image by closing a portion of the stores created internal resistance to discontinuing the electronics product lines. Won approval to sell the electronics division and immediately sales consultants increased their ability to sell the wireless services. Within one year, wireless service sales increases exceeded the loss of sales form electronics products.
Identified and launched new services and solutions, improving operations and keeping company competitive. Highly competitive telecom industry required accurate forecasting, strong sales support, and up-to-date market trend analyses. Introduced customer service training, ISP, cable modems, wireless capability, an ADSL. Grew regional market presence.
Chief Innovation Officer – Board Member, 2007 – Present. Conduct business case analyses and identify new business opportunities. Remain abreast of legislative and regulatory advocacy.
President, 2002 – 2007. Controlled operations, including marketing, advertising, customer service, and telephone, cable TV, wireless, and ISP services. Served as Board Member on legislative and regulatory trade associations. Created new services. Introduced and executed innovative strategies, eliminating drains on revenues by shutting down retail products division to concentrate resources on strongest division, telecom services. Repackaged service portfolio to markedly increase revenues.
Vice President – Operations, 1997 – 2002. Oversaw core voice services. Orchestrated transition to wireless services and development of growth strategies for wireless market. Created and implemented an innovative wireless service for EPICTOUCH, expanding geographic market tenfold to become the fastest growing portion of the business.

Introduced Internet access to EPICTOUCH customers. Pioneer in cable modem and ADSL based services. Reduced operating costs and enabled new revenue sources.
Chief Engineer, 1989 – 1992. Designed, installed, and managed network additions. Project engineer for major network additions installing fiber optic and coaxial networks. Technical advocate in national and state trade associations.
