About Me

My primary interests as a lawyer concern sales of businesses, property tax contests, natural resources, commercial real estate, title insurance litigation, lending transactions, and local government.

My firm works on complicated problems involving troubled real estate projects, including several timeshare projects. We have a lot of experience working for developers, lenders and municipalities on issues related to land use and infrastructure. We have prepared declarations of covenants, conditions and restrictions for more than 100 subdivisions and more than 40 condominiums.

Through my blog, Ozarks Law & Economy, I present information about how court decisions and legislation affect life and business in the Ozarks.

For several years, I was the program chair for the Missouri Bar's Annual Real Estate Institute, which is a continuing education program for lawyers. I usually speak on at least one topic--condominium law, easements, zoning, and laws relating to streams and lakes, for example. I am past achair of the Property Law committee of the Missouri Bar Association.
