The first time I ever stood up in front of a jury, I knew that it was where I belonged. It's where I feel most comfortable, advocating for my clients and arguing their case. I'm a trial lawyer. If I believe in a cause, I'll fight for it with everything I've got - for as long as I have to fight. I don't know any other way to approach my chosen profession.
I've been fortunate enough to win many trials early in my career, and it's through those successes that I now have leverage to negotiate on behalf of my clients before we decide to go to trial. Most people, including some lawyers, don't understand that without a track record of wins at trial, a lawyer has no stock-in-trade to negotiate settlements - quite simply, those lawyers are not a threat to the defendant or insurance company. In an age where most attorneys rarely see the inside of the courtroom, I am in a rather unique position in this regard.
I try cases because I enjoy helping people, whether they're ordinary people who've been hurt or wronged by another person, a product, or a company, or a business that's been harmed by the actions of another. I truly care about my clients and their cause. If I ever stop caring, I'll quit practicing law.
I welcome the opportunity to hear about your case.
Steve Voorhees is an excellent attorney. His results speak for themselves but if you aren't familiar; this man is a winner. He will settle a case if it is fair for his client BUT he will take it to trial and win if the insurance company tries to low-ball. The fact that insurance companies know of this reputation means that they will take heed when they see his name on a case and offer higher settlements to avoid losing at trial. I endorse this lawyer.
