About Me

I represent both debtors and creditors and have 30 years' experience in all chapters of bankruptcy.  In the past, I was the first head of the St. Louis office of the United States Trustee.  Later, I served as a chapter 7 bankruptcy trustee for six years.  I have the experience and perspective to handle any type of bankruptcy issue.  My appellate cases include In re Benn, 491 F.3d 811 (8th Cir. 2007), in which the Court ruled in my favor as a bankruptcy trustee on the issue of exempting income tax refunds.

I also represent persons and institutions in commercial and governmental civil litigation in the circuit courts.
