also known as Chad Oliver, Chad M Oliver
There is no substitute for experience, passion, and creativity when defending someone charged with a crime. Nowhere are the stakes higher than when a person's constitutional rights and freedom are placed in jeopardy by the government charging anyone with a criminal offense. Whether you are facing your first criminal charge or have a prior criminal record, navigating the criminal justice system is confusing and stressful – unless you have an experienced criminal defense lawyer to guide you.
I am attorney Chad M. Oliver and while my office is in St. Louis, I spend most of my time in the courts of Missouri arguing on behalf of my clients in front of judges and juries. I devote my practice exclusively to criminal defense and if you are charged with drug possession, DWI, a probation violation, or any other criminal charge, I am prepared to offer you aggressive representation at a reasonable fee. Because I have extensive experience, I am able to present your case with credibility and professionalism.
As a veteran of the criminal defense bar, I handle cases ranging from traffic tickets to murder. One thing is true regardless of the charge or client, even though I am comfortable appearing before judges and juries, I know most of my clients are not. I treat each case and client as if it is the most important case I will ever face because I I know it is the most important thing my clients will ever face.
Regular attorney/client communication is my top priority
According to the Missouri Bar, the number one complaint clients have about their attorneys is a lack of regular communication. My clients are regularly informed and educated about every aspect of their case. The attorney/client relationship can only succeed where honest, open, candid communication thrives. My clients do not always like what I must tell them but they never doubt the truth behind my advice. You will never be left wondering what is going on in your case because we will meet regularly to discuss your case, either on the telephone or in person. You will always have access to me and know I am involved in every important detail of your case, from beginning to end.
Maintaining professional excellence
You want an attorney who is on the cutting-edge of criminal defense practice because the law and the way criminal cases are defended is constantly changing. As a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) and Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (MACDL), I stay informed as to the latest changes in the practice of criminal law.
As part of my commitment to properly defend DWI's, I am a member of the Missouri Society for Law and Justice as well as the National College of DWI Defense attorneys (NCDD). I am also certified by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to administer and score standardized field sobriety tests. I received the same training (or better) and scored highly on the same tests as most officers conducting DWI stops on the road today. This is a benefit for my clients because I know how they were supposed to be trained and where they are making mistakes.
I am, first and foremost, a trial attorney. As a member of the American Association of Justice (AAJ), I have access to and learn from some of the best trial attorneys in the country. I work to constantly and consistently improve as a trial attorney by working at it each and every day.
Defending your case from beginning to end
On average, 95% of all criminal cases are resolved without a trial. What if your case does not demand a trial or you have no defense to the offense with which you have been charged? You especially need an experienced attorney when there is no defense or hope of getting the charges dismissed. I take great satisfaction creating bold, compelling arguments on behalf of all my clients. My unique ability to present alternatives to incarceration is well regarded among the courts with equally impressive results.
Do not wait to contact an attorney!
If you have been arrested recently or believe you are under criminal investigation, the most important thing you can do is contact and hire an attorney. The state is already in the process of building a case against you. My job is to level that playing field by constructing a solid defense to oppose the state's evidence. The sooner you contact me, the more time I will have to build a winning defense.
I represent clients in the Greater St. Louis Metropolitan area, throughout the State of Missouri, and in federal court. Contact me immediately to schedule a free telephone or in-person consulation to learn more about what I can do to protect your freedom.
