Ramona (Capkovic) Gau grew up in Jefferson County. In 2003, Ramona obtained a B.S. in Administration of Justice, magna cum laude, from Hannibal-LaGrange University. From there she attended the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law where she graduated in 2006 with her J.D.
After graduation, Ramona joined the public defender’s office. During her time as a public defender, Ramona tried numerous cases to juries, from first-offense DWI to child-sex and homicide cases. Ramona has handled criminal law cases in Jefferson County, St. Louis County, St. Louis City, and also numerous counties in Northeast Missouri.
After her time with the public defender, Ramona joined a family law firm that exclusively practiced in the areas of divorce, child custody, modifications, orders of protection, and other family law matters. Ramona has handled family law cases in Jefferson County, St. Louis County, St. Louis City, St. Francois County, St. Genevieve County, and Washington County.
Today, Ramona has focused her practice on, criminal defense, family law, and other general civil litigation matters.
Ramona is a member of the Jefferson County Bar Association and volunteers as a coach for the Junior Lady Lions Basketball League.
