The challenge of law is not traditional work. Instead, it presents a puzzle for the practioner. The manner in which people filter information, regarding an event, explains a great deal about the committment to their case. As much as lawyers need to be acquainted with the facts and law, I find it equally important to learn the character of the client and all the participants in the case. Our office uses the hollistic approach to litigation.
A small case is handled with the same degree of committment as the large case. The respect and time devoted to each matter is the same. After all, that client with the small case has legal rights equally as important. The monetary value is an irrellevant consideration and should not not dictate a hierarchy of rights, based upon the potential of a large monitary recovery.
It is also ok to admit when you do not know the answer to a legal question or feel that a particular case is not one of your strong suits. In those matters, we present the client with a "bio" of 3 to 4 lawyers who practice our philosophy of handling litigation.
