Jill has been there for me as a father of three through a lot of unplanned issues impacting my children: divorce; settlement of the family home; step-children; half-siblings; second marriages . . . the works. And cases in both IL and MO. When life throws you a curve ball, Jill will step in and hit it out of the park. She is so responsive to any question, and conscientious to keep you redirected on what's ultimately important: your children.

Jill is the atty you want in a divorce to represent your needs, especially as a man in Illinois with the intrusive and overreaching family laws on the books that are, quite frankly, against you if you are male. She handled my case which involved a very complex business, family and work reality. I was VERY satisfied with the conclusion she was able to assist my case. Can Jill get you everything you desire? No. But she will get you the best you can hope for in a state that has forsaken men.

I have been a client of Ms. Jill Laux since 2006. She has helped me navigate the intricate legal divorce proceedings and child custody issues.
In my dealings with her, I have found her to be extremely professional, forthright and considerate.
As a business owner, I value her professional counsel.
Anyone, engaging her services will be well served.

I have used Mrs. Laux Schubert on more than one occasion, once in a custody dispute and once in an uncontested divorce. She always delivered straightforward, candid, and thorough recommendations, even when it may have "not" been what I wanted to hear. I felt that her and her staff were very personable and I never felt like just another paycheck or typical client. The advice and representation given by Mrs Laux Schubert helped me in making tough choices, and ultimately resulted in what I felt was the absolute "best" ending to an always unpleasant situation.

I found Mrs. Laux to be informative, accurate and helpful. My ex-wife's attorney was the county cougar who scared every other attorney (male or female). Jill barked back; she's a ball-buster. I didn't get most of what I wanted but she stopped my ex from running me into the ground.
My only caution is that as a client, you manage your emotions and it will reduce your billing. Also, as it might be common to get monthly updates of income, expenses, bills etc; be careful as it seems the only set of documents that are TRULY important are the last ones you submit. Personally, I felt like I was putting documents in a shredder as I kept sending them updates and I felt that the only thing that happend was me being billed for another hour. Again, I don't feel that my money was wasted or that I was gag-billed. Just wished i wouldn't have given them so much documentation every time it was requested.
Finally, know what you want and stick to your guns. The game will change from the phone to the courtroom...be ready and be open-minded. Jill will keep you grounded.
