    My client, a 56 year old former police officer, had hired three prior attorneys. All had advised him to plead guilty to a 20 year sentence. He decided not to use their advise and he hired me. I tried his case and the jury acquitted James. The reason we won is that the major case squad failed to interview a witness who was mentioned on only a single page of over a few thousand pages of discovery. The other attorneys apparently decided to not talk with that witness who ended up winning the case for James.

    Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapons - Mr. Riggins was stopped by Brooklyn police. His car was unconstitutionally searched. We were hired and filed a motion to suppress evidence. The motion was granted. All the evidence seized was suppressed. The State had to dismiss the charges against Mr. Riggins.
