Danny L. Schroeder
- I began practicing law in 1982 and I am licensed to practice law in both Illinois and Iowa. I was born and raised in Washburn, Illinois earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois in 1978 and a Juris Doctorate degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Law in Carbondale, Illinois in 1981.
I concentrate my practice in the areas of landlord-tenant (with emphasis on federally subsidized housing, eviction and discrimination defense); collections; mechanics liens; real estate foreclosure; commercial and residential real estate transactions; corporations; business; bankruptcy (creditors’ rights); commercial litigation; estate planning; municipal law; and domestic relations.
I have lectured regarding landlord/tenant rights, retail wheeling of electric power and natural gas
transportation. I have also lectured to various health care organizations concerning health care
I am a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Iowa Bar Association and the
Peoria County Bar Association and I have been the past Chairman of the Governing Board of the Peoria
Association for Retarded Citizens (Parc) as well as past Chairman of its Foundation Board, a past
member of the Professional Advisory Committee to the Saint Francis Medical Center Foundation
Council and a former member of the Governing Board of Directors of Catholic Social Services of
Peoria (now Catholic Charities of the Peoria Diocese).
I am married and have two grown sons.
