Excellent every time I have used her as my attorney. Hardcore at times but I needed that to keep emotions at bay. Very well known. Friendly.
Ms Misevich was a true advocate for me, she went that extra mile. I felt very secure that she was doing everything, resolve my order of protection. The result was the order was dismissed. Thank you Ms. Misevich
I without hesitation, refer the legal services of Allyson Misevich. She has been a tremendous blessing to me and my family throughout a most difficult time. The lawyer stereotype does NOT fit Allyson. I have found her to be only honest, hard working, caring, generous and thoughtful. She always returned e-mails and phone calls in a timely manner. What lawyer calls a client at 6am on a Saturday morning because as she said she, 'was going over notes and had to get information to me asap?' Mine did!!! And she protected me from much harm. She cares about details, has integrity and solid faith based values she puts into her practice. If you want someone to cheat or slander, go elsewhere, it is completely out of her character to do so. I respect her and trust her. By chance I met another family that employed her services years back and they too had only good things to say about her as well. I cannot imagine going through this without her expertise, support, experience and guidance. She is top rate!
I am shocked and appalled by the negative comments on this webpage about Allyson Misevich. I had to have a will updated with power of attorney for healthcare before a serious operation in September. Allyson was highly recommended with almost 30 years experience practicing law. It was a last minute thing that I had to do…and Allyson did it virtually “on demand” the day before my surgery. I cannot say enough positive things about her expertise in the law and her pleasant openness to me. Another point others have mentioned is their lack of getting a hold of her in a timely fashion...this is utter nonsense. She was always available to me…she gave me her personal number to text her questions which she answered promptly-in some cases in the middle of the night. I can only surmise that the negative comments are “sour grapes” from people who can never be satisfied. If you want your law issues handled right, do yourself a big favor and go with Allyson…you won’t be sorry.
Started out wonderful but quickly became a terrible choice. She frequently showed up for court hours late and very rushed, leaving many status updates with no changes. After a few months, she stopped returning calls. I attempted to contact her regarding a serious legal matter but could not get her on the phone. After weeks of ignored calls I was forced to make a decision on my own and she subsequently dropped me as a client for going against her legal advice; legal advice she never gave me because she would not return my calls. Also, in the beginning she frequently gave me advice on my personal life on matters that had nothing to do with the divorce. Advice I never asked for on things that I didn't tell her about but that had been casually mentioned to her in passing by my ex.
The final nail in the coffin was when I saw her smiling and waving and making chit-chat with my ex after dropping me as a client. I do not belive she is professional at all. While she may have knowledge of the divorce laws in Illinois, her ethics leave much to be desired.
As with many lawyers costly monthly continuences with no progresses was a norm. My specific dissatisfaction, however, was due to a lack of follow through on commitments and poor documentation that required re-work. It felt like she purposely made errors in the documentation so she could go back to make corrections and double charge me for the work. Additionally, she fell ill for over a month stalling the case. She had no back up in place to take over her cases. This seemed unprofessional as most practices have a partnership with others to back fill for vacations and emergencies. When she returned to work, everything had to be redone. More billing!
Though she is a kind, lovely person personally, her skill at efficiently managing a case and office leaves a lot to be desired.
