I had a legimate case against my mortage company. He never listened to what I was saying. He had a procedure that he just followed. He never put me in touch with the person that was supposidly doing the case. I showed up for a hearing at one point and nobody was there! He skirted around the fact and still didn't keep me informed. I lost my home and the $4,000 he charged me!

Was a constant struggle to get any kind of response from him. His staff even states "we hear that all the time" Its a shame he states he will help people. When handling someones home you think he would be more considerate of people. He is one of the attorneys that gives other attorneys a bad name.

I retained Mr. Kaplan to represent me in a mortgage foreclosure. He failed to personally attend hearings and in one instance missed a hearing which resulted in a default being entered against me in the foreclosure matter. He then billed me for the preparation and hearing needed to set aside the default judgment. Each time we met, he demonstrated that he was not truly interested in defending against the foreclosure and did nothing other than request additional fees. After I questioned his representation, he stopped returning my calls and refused to turn over my file which contained information which was needed to continue my case.

Didn't expect miracles, just accountability. After all, I paid thousands up front. Yet ,I was not kept informed of my case. I had to recap my case each time we talked. After I expressed my frustration, he would no longer return my phone calls. Waste of my time and money.
