John Eggum is an associate at Foran Glennon Palandech Ponzi & Rudloff. He concentrates his practice on restructuring and insolvency-related matters, insurance coverage, and commercial litigation. With respect to insolvency-related matters, Mr. Eggum has substantial experience representing creditors, debtors, trustees and other parties in interest in a variety of bankruptcy proceedings under all chapters of the Bankruptcy Code. Mr. Eggum also handles a wide range of insurance coverage matters, including general liability, professional liability (including architects and engineers), first-party property (including complex mortgagee and loss payee issues), product liability, and mass tort matters.
Mr. Eggum obtained his law degree, with distinction, from The University of Iowa College of Law. His undergraduate degrees, in finance and political science, were also obtained from The University of Iowa. Following law school, Mr. Eggum served as the law clerk to the Hon. Bruce A. Markell in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada.
Mr. Eggum is an active member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and serves as an editor for the ABI’s Volo Project. He is a member of the Illinois bar.
