About Me

Jason authoritatively advocates for sophisticated professionals and their spouses who want fair and equitable divorce results.  Jason's clients appreciate his ability to utilize creativity and compassion, in and out of the courtroom, to resolve complicated divorce and custody disputes.

Jason began his career at Schiller DuCanto & Fleck LLP in 2001 as a law clerk and has practiced as an attorney since 2003.  Jason is an executive officer on the board of directors and active Fellow of the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois (“CLII”) where he has completed the necessary requirements to practice Collaborative Divorce Law which he enjoys and uses in every aspect of his practice.

Jason graduated from the 2010 American Bar Association Trial Advocacy Institute where he enhanced his skills and competence as a trial lawyer.

Jason received his Juris Doctorate degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law. During law school, and as a member of the VIS International Moot Court Honor Society, Jason successfully competed in Vienna, Austria. Jason remains involved with his alma matter and is the founding co-chair of the Chicago Kent Young Alumni Association with over 50 members.

Jason has been a guest lecturer at Chicago Kent College of Law, Loyola Law School, the Illinois CPA Society and the Chicago Bar Association on a number of family law issues including trial techniques as they relate to business valuations, domestic violence and child custody disputes.

Jason was awarded by the Legal Assistance Resource Center for his substantial pro bono efforts and achievements. Jason is a member of the committee responsible for creating the Chicago Bar Foundation's Legal Aid Academy which provides continuing legal education to public interest attorneys at no cost. Jason was also a member of the steering committee of the Illinois Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society responsible for raising money and organizing Chicago Lake Front MS Walks.

Jason graduated from the Indiana School of Business in 2000 with a B.S. in Marketing and minors in Economics and International Business. As part of his B.S. program, Jason studied economics abroad at Erasmus University in Maastricht, Netherlands.
