About Me

PLAINTIFF PERSONAL INJURY: MEDICAL MALPRACTICE ATTORNEY
Elizabeth Kaveny during her professional career has obtained numerous verdicts & settlements of plaintiff personal injury & professional malpractice actions, in amounts from $1M to more than $10M. She is widely respected for her success in such complex, medically-related matters as misdiagnosis & failure to diagnose. Recently, she and partner Kevin Burke secured a $12 million settlement for a client who suffered severe injury & trauma due to misdiagnosis & delayed treatment. She was one of the first attorneys in the country to file suit against NECC on behalf of a number of victims of fungal meningitis traced to contaminated steroid injections. Beth is equally effective in proving liability from negligence of others that contributed to falls, fires & vehicular accidents.
A self-described “people person,” Beth strives to build the kind of trust accorded a family member, visiting clients in their homes, learning about their families & situations in detail. Beth approaches personal injury litigation as the opportunity to ensure that her clients are not victimized by the legal system. Although she is always open to & effective at resolution short of trial, Beth's court room track record is exceptional.
IL Leading Lawyers Network, named Beth one of the state’s Top 10 women litigators, women personal injury lawyers & women consumer lawyers in personal injury & professional malpractice law. IL Superlawyers named her one of the Top 50 Illinois Women Lawyers. In 2013, Thomson Reuters & Chicago Magazine named Beth one of the “The Top Women Attorneys in Illinois” in the areas of personal injury plaintiff – medical malpractice; personal injury plaintiff – general; & general litigation.
Recently, Crain’s Chicago Business singled out Beth among established Chicago personal injury lawyers under the age of 50, noted her as “an exception to the general rule that - not many top personal injury attorneys are women,”.
