    The terms and provisions of the loan taken out by the student will be set forth in the loan documents. They should be reviewed in detail in order to answer your question. In fact, they should have been reviewed (and presumably they were) before the agreement was executed. We cannot answer here because we do not have the benefit of seeing the entire document.

    Your in-laws can open a custodial account for your daughter. As long as it's their money they can do what they want with it

    Your landlord is not obligated to honor your doctor's note. You may still be liable for the remaining rent but your landlord will have to mitigate damages if possible by finding a new tenant.

    Most Illinois case law holds that an engagement ring is a gift contingent upon the marriage If the marriage does not take place, the ring must be returned to the purchaser - usually but not always the man.

    Your friend needs to address his CA DUI before he can get an Illinois license. He should contact an attorney in the county where his DUI case was originally heard.

    Your healthcare POA should be sufficient to grant you the authority to make decisions on behalf of your father. If the facility will not listen to you, get a lawyer involved and deal with their legal department.
