About Me

I am an attorney and active blogger. Find articles, posts, and podcasts written by me on blogs as well as Amazon.com, Westlaw, and LexisNexis.

My undergraduate career was split between the University of Chicago and University of Michigan where I earned a BA with Distinction from the Honor's College and an MBA from the Ross School of Business. I also worked my way through DePaul University College of Law where I received an American Jurisprudence Award in Professional Responsibility.

I am still the president of the law firm I started in 1995.  I have also held Series 7 and 63 licenses, as well as a business broker's license, and a the title of real estate title agent.  

I am a member of several professional organizations including the American Bar Association and DuPage County Bar Association where I have chaired many committees and received a Board of Directors' Award for Service. I have also been honored as Lawyer of the Year and Bankruptcy Lawyer of the Year twice by Legal Match.

In 2007 I was honored to serve on the campaign of Judge Dorothy French of the 18th Circuit in her bid to become a full circuit judge. I am on the 2010 committee as well.
