I'm an attorney, president of a title company, and an active blogger. I also present to groups of professionals on legal and business topics. You can find articles, posts, and podcasts from me on the blogs I maintain as well as Amazon.com and Westlaw.


My undergraduate career was slit between the University of Chicago and University of Michigan where I earned a BA with Distinction from the Honor's College and 2 years later got an MBA from the Ross School of Business.  Soon after I worked my way through law school at DePaul where I received an American Jurisprudence Award.


I am still the president of the law firm I started in 1995.  I have also held Series 7 and 63 licenses, as well as a business broker's license, and title agency. Since 2004 I have been the president of Aegis Title.

 

I am a member of several professional organizations including the American Bar Association and DuPage County Bar Association where I chair 2 committees.  In 2005 the Directors of the DCBA honored me with their award for service. In 2005 I was also Bankruptcy Lawyer of the Year.

In 2007 I was honored to serve on the campaign of Judge Dorothy French of the 18th Circuit in her bid to become a full circuit judge.
