Doe v. Jose Solis

Case Conclusion Date: 03.15.2013

Practice Area: Personal Injury

Outcome: $2,025,406 verdict for our client

Description: Defendant drugged and raped client who was a minor at the time. While he was charged criminally he was acquitted. Our client, seeking some form of justice, hired us to pursue him in a civil case. We filed suit against him and were ultimately able to obtain an order which declared that he had admitted the substantive facts of the case and another order for summary judgment on the issue of liability. During the trial we sought $2,025,406 in damages for our client ($25,000 for pain and suffering, $500,000 for emotional distress, $500,000 for intentional infliction of emotional distress and $1,000,000 in punitive damages, plus costs of $406) and upon hearing the evidence testified to by our client and her mother our request was granted. We are currently moving into collections and intend for this judgment to follow the defendant for many years to come as we garnish his wages and bank accounts.
