Mario Treto, Jr. currently serves the City of Evanston as an attorney, where he primarily focuses his practice on land use and commercial transactions. As the lead attorney with the Zoning Board of Appeals, Plan Commission, Board of Local Improvements, Administrative Adjudication and Review, he provides legal counsel regarding various issues for each entity. During law school, he worked as a Summer Associate at Lewis, Rice & Fingersh in St. Louis, Missouri and Faegre Baker Daniels in Indianapolis, Indiana, as well as a Law Clerk for Duke Energy.
Active in his law school community, Mr. Treto was President of the Latino Law Student Association, Executive Editor of the Federal Communications Law Journal, Board Member of the Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition, and Member of the Maurer School of Law Admissions Committee. In addition to his practice, Mr. Treto is an active alumnus of Washington University, having been appointed as the Executive Co-Chair for his class's fifth year reunion, and is a lifetime member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity.
