About Me

Peter S. Lubin Firm co-founder brings a wealth of courtroom experience to DiTommaso ♦ Lubin's commercial and class-action litigation. He has been lead plaintiff's or defense counsel on numerous multi-million dollar class-action lawsuits with national impact. He has also handled a wide range of complex business lawsuits. Peter received an AB from Dartmouth College in 1980, and his law degree from the University of Chicago Law School in 1983. Along with Vincent DiTommaso, he teaches trial and litigation skills to law students at the University of Chicago Law School's Mandel Legal Aid Clinic. Peter was selected by the then Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit to be one of the founding members of the Markey-Wigmore Inns of Court, and received commendations from the DuPage Legal Assistance Foundation for providing the Foundation with substantial awards from certain class actions. In 2007 Peter was named to the Visiting Committee at the University of Chicago Law School.

Peter Lubin is, without a doubt, one of the smartest and hardest working attorneys that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Peter has always been willing to answer legal questions that I have had, even on cases that he is not working on. I have referred, and will continue to refer, every class-action law suit that I comes my way to Peter and his excellent firm. As a newer lawyer, I consider Peter one of three or four lawyers that I look up to as the type of lawyer that I want to become as I gain experience in the profession.

Peter Lubin has an encyclopedic knowledge of the law and of the facts of any case he is working on. I was the court-appointed administrator in a complex, multi-million dollar contested estate, and Peter's knowledge of a wide range of issues - corporate, real estate, labor law, to name a few - was key to obtaining excellent results. He is a tenacious litigator who is always professional. Peter operates in the highest level of the profession, and I refer people with complex business matters or class actions to Peter, and I can always count on him to do an outstanding job..
