About me

Chantelle is a graduate of The Ohio State University (2003) and graduated from DePaul University College of Law (2006).  Chantelle was admitted to practice in 2006.  While at DePaul University College of Law, Chantelle received her Family Law Certificate and was the recipient of the Public Interest Law Association Grant - Judge Jeffrey Coman Designation, the Shiller DuCanto & Fleck Family Law Center Grant, and the Dean’s Scholarship. 

Chantelle is currently an associate at A. Traub and Associates.  Practicing all areas of Family Law, Juvenile Law, Domestic Violence, Orders of Protection, Landlord Tenant Law and Civil Litigation. Chantelle is a court approved Guardian ad litem in the DuPage County.  Chantelle is the court appointed Guardian ad litem in DuPage County Abuse & Neglect Court. 

Chantelle is a former supervisor of the DuPage County Public Defender’s Office Juvenile Division where she concentrated her practice on representing juveniles on criminal matters and representing parents and children on abuse, neglect, and dependency matters.  Prior to that she was with the Cook County Public Guardian where she represented the best interest of juveniles as attorney and Guardian ad litem on cases of abuse, neglect, and dependency.

Chantelle is on the Board of Govenors for the Illinois State Bar Association.

Chantelle is an active member of the DuPage County Bar Association, Chantelle served on the Board of Directors,  as the Chair of the New Lawyer’s Committee and Law Day, member of the Program Planning Committee, and a participant in Judge’s Night. 

Chantelle has presented as a Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Speaker at the following:

  • DuPage County Bar Association “Basic Skill Seminar” presenting on Juvenile Law
  • DuPage County Bar Association Child Advocacy Seminar on “Ethical Issues When Representing Children”
  • DuPage County Bar Association Family Law Section “Juvenile Court Procedures: Basics for the Family Law Practitioner”.

Chantelle is the Past President of the DuPage Association of Women Lawyer,  served on the Board of the DuPage County Bar Foundation, and past member of the American Inns of Court-DuPage Chapter. 

Chantelle is the recipient of the following awards and recognitions:

  • DuPage County Bar Association 2008 B.R.I.E.F. Women to Watch
  • DuPage County Bar Association 2008-2009 Outstanding Service Award
  • DuPage County Bar Association 2008-2009 Pro Bono Service Award

Chantelle has recived the Top Attorneys in Illinois Rising Stars Award in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015.
