    Tajara’s Answer

The arrest is unlikely to totally go away but with an attorney's help you may be able to avoid it becoming a criminal charge at all. You need to get a great attorney immediately. If you and your parents cannot afford one, you should go to the public defender's office.

  • Does the father with 50% custody pay child support to the mother who has a higher annual income than he does?

50/50 custody of one child. The father has about 30% placement and has been paying child support. The mother has a higher I come.

    Tajara’s Answer

There is a formula used that takes both incomes into account along with the percentage of placement each party has. it is entirely possible that the father with 30% placement would still pay some support. joint custody doesn't effect the calculation.

  • Is child support really supposed to be 17% for each child?

My husband has 2 children by different mom's and he is paying 17% for each. He is left with 900$ a month to pay our bills and when we tried to talk to someone about lowering it they wanted to raise it because he was making more money now. Just se...

    Tajara’s Answer

Yes, 17% of gross income for the first child; then 17% from the remaining gross income for the second. If he pays insurance there can be a reduction. if the kids were from the same mom, it would be a total of 25% as the cost of having multiple children is reduced if they are in the same family.
