Never kept me informed. His paralegal doesn't even know what's going on. Was very passive in the courtroom and didn't bring up issues that needed to be addressed. Didn't even review my case before we went to court and was wrong about a few key details of my case. Didn't push for everything we were going there for, just basically sat back and did nothing. Didn't prepare me in any way for court. I asked questions and basically got "it depends on the judge" line. Wouldn't even give me a general answer. Will never rehire.
Peter was WONDERFUL for our family law case. For all parents out there, he represents what is RIGHT and will get it done! Don't walk in to ANY attorney and expect to hang the other parent based on what YOU think is right! Peter knows the law, he knows the strategy, and he will tell you how it is! He believed in us and that what we were doing was right and he stood by us and did what was best for the CHILD! No lawyer can work miracles, and if you're expectations are completely unreason
able, he will tell you! Thank you, attorney Borchardt for helping us and doing what is right! You made a difference in a child's life, and we are forever grateful for you! I highly recommend him if you're heart is in the right place! He will fight for you!
I would highly recommend hiring Attorney Borchardt. He represented me in my divorce. He was very competent, and he helped guide me through the entire divorce process.
This attorney represented me in my divorce and he was totally absent from my case. Didnt respond when i called and left messages. And had the nerve to bill me a high rate for laziness.
I contacted the owner (Kurt Czachor) of his law firm several times to hunt down Peter. And no where to be found on most occasions. He totally abandoned me and my children, to say the least. DO NOT HIRE HIM.
Peter represented me in my divorce last year,a nd was very unresponsive. He was not aggressive at all, I felt like I had to continually prod him to move forward with the case. In the end he was just interested in collecting fees. After burning through my retainer money 2 times over, I told him I did not want to give him additional money and was thinkning of going elsewhere. Only then did he suddenly file motions and get the divorce finalized in a a matter of weeks.
In my opinion this attorney only thinks his way is the correct way and god forbid if you disagree with him. I am only thankful that I was able to obtain a new attorney in time. If you don't mind not having any say or opinion in your case then go ahead, hire Mr. borchardt, but if you want to be able to work with an attorney, stay clear!
After working with two lawyers in the past, one also being a court commisioner, I came across Mr. Borchardt. My first lawyer never really represented me and the second one I went to told me I never had a case. Upon meeting with Mr. Borchardt, he reviewed my information and was prepared to represent me that day. Mr. Borchardt listened to my concerns and in about a month, we had our first court date. We got some of the issues addressed and he recommended further action the same day. We continued the pursuit of happiness and got what we wanted....my son. Child support was reduced and visitation was increased ten fold.! Mr. Borchardt took my case when everyone else told me "no". He listended to my concerns and addressed the issues that I had. He was extremely professional, very informative, and proactive. Thanks to Mr. Borchardt, I have my son back, and my life back. Thank you Mr. Borchardt!
