It’s easy to assume that estate planning is only for people who may be wealthy, have a great deal of assets to pass on to their heirs, or are gravely ill. In reality, this could not be farther from the truth. Estate planning is essential for everyone with people or organizations in their lives about whom they care deeply, whether it be a spouse or partner, children, or charities they support.
It’s about making a plan, while you’re healthy and able, that creates a road map for the distribution of your assets at death. It’s about understanding how trusts and wills work, and learning the importance of creating advance directives like Health Care and Financial Powers of Attorney. It’s about naming guardians for your minor children and naming those persons that you want to carry out your wishes.
Estate planning requires a trained estate planning attorney who will work with you to prepare the written documents required to carry out your intent, while minimizing taxes and streamlining the estate administration process to the greatest extent possible.
It has been my privilege to focus my practice of law in the areas of estate planning and administration and assist clients in planning and settling their estates.

I have worked with Anne on several projects, and she has repeatedly demonstrated immense knowledge regarding estate planning. However, what impresses me most about Anne is her ability to clearly explain complicated legal topics to her students in a way that is easy to understand and even fun! Anne is always a true pleasure to work with.
