Aaron Halstead has worked as my attorney for both a workers compensation case and a safety violation case (related to the workers compensation case) for over four years. I would highly recommend him and Armando Veizaga( his paralegal) to deal with workers compensation insurance companies, their attorneys and their supposedly "independent medical doctors". Yes, insurance companies will hire certain doctors to evaluate and/or review medical records reflecting treatment provided by your medical doctors. This is for the purpose of having the “independent” medical doctor (once again paid by the insurance company) give a second medical opinion on you. You can guess how the medical report will be written.
I would contact their office sooner vs later to find out if you should even speak with an employee of the workers compensation insurance company. Aaron and Armando will not be able to help you medically, but will do a great job of making sure you get medical help and try to minimize the influence the insurance company has regarding treatment and eventually compensation.

Aaron was veracious, efficient, and completely worthy of my entrust to spend billable time on what was important. Unlike my experience with others, I did not get billed for any research time used for himself to become more educated in order to give advice and counsel--- he already knew what was needed. That is how it should be.

I cannot say enough positive things about Aaron. Not only is he knowledgeable, but he is timely, helpful, compassionate and reliable. With no previous experience to the legal system, he shattered all stereotypes that I had of attorneys. He was very easy to work with and kept me informed and educated along the way. I would highly recommend his services. I couldn't be more appreciative of Aaron's help.

I came to Aaron Halstead because I was concerned that I was about to be terminated unfairly. His appraisal of my situation was honest and practical: we talked through potential strategies for proactively addressing my concerns, including his helping me to put pressure on my employer to do what is fair. His intervention appears to be succeeding, as I am negotiating a redefinition of my position that will hopefully bring about what's best for everyone.
Aaron’s representation is very fair. More than once he has recommended *not* taking an action as it would cost extra money and wasn't warranted. At his suggestion we have worked mostly by e-mail, to keep costs down. His e-mails are thoughtfully considered, down to earth, and helpful.
It is a great relief to have a strong and expert person in my corner, who genuinely has my interests at heart.

Aaron is extremely professional, returns phone calls and e-mails immediately. He is very quick to respond, and explains things in a way that are easy to understand. He continuously kept me updated on the entire process. Without his help and expertise I would have been out of work and had no other options.

Aaron was amazing to work with. He was extremely responsive and I felt we worked very well as a team. He was excellent about collaboratively sharing information and strategizing about my case. I would certainly utilize his services again if appropriate and would highly recommend his services to others.

I hired attorney Halstead to represent me in a dispute with my former employer. The case went into litigation and was decided by a trial, which I lost.
Attorney Halsted's fees were three to four times his initial estimate, even though litigation and trial were fairly straight forward (e.g. no external witnesses in the trial, attorney Halstead's discovery efforts were limited to one discovery request, he did not take any depositions).
Attorney Halstead sued the wrong party for breach of contract.
Attorney Halstead made two factual errors in his opening and closing statements in the trial that were corrected by the other side and that contradicted my own direct testimony which I had prepared with an associate of this firm suggesting that Attorney Halstead was not familiar with key facts of the case.

Upfront a concern was if I had choosen an Attorney that worked out of Madison, WI and my residence was of considerable distance (Marion, WI); would my case be handled responsively. Aaron Halstead was exceptional. There were times that I contacted Aaron on evenings and weekends. He was alway's responsive that same day.
Aaron took a great deal of time to thoroughly investigate my case and the result were 100% sucsessful when it came down to my hearing. He actually made the opposing Attorney look unprepared! I felt a great releif on choosing Aaron Halstead.
Logistics proved to be of no concern. I would highly recommend Aaron Halstead.

Over the years, I have relied on Mr. Halstead for his advice and counsel on several occasions. Not once, has that advice been incorrect, incomplete or left me dissatisfied in any way. In fact, I would say that he took the initiative to look deeper into my matter than would otherwise be expected.
My last experience with Mr. Halstead included an out-of-state issue that, due to the nature of his licensure, was unable to fully represent my interests. Despite that, he provided a complete summary of my options, encouraged me to find local counsel and went the extra mile to recommend a few attorney's he felt could pick up where he needed to leave off. Simply exceptional in all facets of the transaction.
