Mark F. Nielsen

About me

I love being a lawyer.  It calls upon your intellect, your integrity and your imagination to solve remarkably tough problems.   There is no greater opportunity to learn about human nature and participate in the affairs of your community than to work as a well known trial attorney (particularly in your home town).

Handling serious cases is hard work and it is stressful work, but you get the chance to really help clients while at the same time upholding your community's commitment to justice.  Everyone is for justice until some outrage stirs up their passions.  At those times, it is the criminal law practitioner who has to step in and ensure that things are handled calmly and fairly.  This is sometimes a pretty lonely position to be in, and this work is not for the faint of heart.   However  if you do this work well, you will earn respect and you will have been instrumental in causing a fair outcome.
