Frederick P. Schoonmaker

Attorney Frederick P. Schoonmaker whose law office is located at 515 Glenview Avenue, Suite F, Wauwatosa WI 53226), has practiced family law since 2007 and has served with three prestigious family law firms. Mr. Schoonmaker believes that divorce is a last resort and always explores the prospects for reconciliation. If a divorce is the only answer, every effort is made to conduct the proceedings in a civilized, non-contentious fashion. Mr. Schoonmaker is experienced in separation, divorce, custody issues, property division, alimony, support, post dissolution matters, and the tax impact of all financial issues. He makes a concerted effort to maintain good relationships between both parents and their children. In recent cases, he has successfully negotiated third party visitation rights and handled the dissolution of a 31 year relationship that never resulted in marriage. He has handled numerous divorce cases and restraining orders, and is eligible to serve as a Guardian ad Litem for children in divorce cases in Milwaukee County. Mr. Schoonmaker graduated with a B.A. from Bucknell University, a Masters of Letters from St. Andrews University in Scotland, and a J.D. from Seton Hall Law School. He lives with his wife, a graduate of Marquette, in Wauwatosa.
