    David’s Answer

Assuming they have the right to have you submit to the exam, you should get some sort of written confirmation as to when and where the exam should take place. Also, you want to clarify (usually in writing) that the insurance company will be paying for the exam.

    Good luck.

My car was parked on a side street and when I returned their was damage to my front left side. Will I be responsible for a surcharge If I report the claim? No one left any information and I no witnesses.

  • Contemplating releasing PI attorney before potentially settling w/insurance co.

I was involved in a multi-car accident in which the other driver was cited as being at fault. I sustained substantial injuries and medical bills. I hired a PI lawyer, who has advised me to quickly settle with the at fault driver's insurance compan...

    David’s Answer

If your attorney is recommending that you settle for the maximum insurance benefits available, then there is no reason to go to trial because no insurance company will pay you more money than they are obligated to pay as per the insurance policies.

If you switch attorneys then the 2 attorneys will have to fight it out regarding how the fee is split up among them. Even if you fire your attorney and settle the case yourself the attorney could still have a claim against you for attorney’s fees.

Schedule a face to face meeting with your attorney so that you can express your concerns.

    Good luck.

In these situations man insurance companies will try to offer you less because you want to keep the truck. Quote the KBB fair condition value and ask why they are offering you less.

  • I will owe $13,000 to LTD insurance company. Can I work out a deal to pay back $10,000 and then pay the remaining $3000 back?

    Thank-you

    David’s Answer

Are you sure you owe the carrier? Have you had this reviewed by an attorney? If so, then go ahead and ask the LTD carrier. The only way you will find out is by asking.

Also, since you obviously have a good reason for repaying the money this way, tell them.

    Good luck.
