  • Daughter was in a wreck my ins is giving us a rental she is 20, I have to get the car under my he said can my Daughter drive it?

My insurance called me is giving me rental after my daughter was in a wreck she is 20 years old he said I have to put the car under my name , my policy covers both by kids at the moment . Does that mean she can drive the rental to or just me?

    David’s Answer

You should be able to add her as an authorized driver. Verify this with the rental company.

Most car rental companies nowadays will not rent to anyone under 25, so that is why you have to rent the car in your name.

    Good luck.

    David’s Answer

It is always best to use a process server or the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office so that they can document the times they tried to serve him if he is trying to dodge service. Also, if you know where he works then have him served there. It's harder to dodge service when a deputy is at your door.

    Good luck.

    David’s Answer

Unfortunately this is the sad truth in Wisconsin. The only successful medical malpractice cases these days involve death, wrong limb amputations, or severe paralysis.

Since malpractice cases typically involve costs exceeding $150,000, the need for future medical care or permanent damage are the things that increase case value. From your facts you have no such damages and that is probably why you cannot find an attorney. You could file a complaint with the State's Medical Examining Board regarding your substandard care.

Remember, elections have consequences. Medical malpractice laws can be changed, but not with the regime we currently have in Madison.

    Good luck.
