I hired Attorney McCleod because I was denied unemployment due to false information give to the State by the company I worked for. He was very helpful and responded quickly to any concerns I had. I have already recommended him to several people.
I had hired Mr. McLeod for my UI appeal, and won.
I had been let go by my now ex employer for no real actual justifiable reasons and yet was denied unemployment benifits. I knew I needed assistance in the matter. Words, legal and political things are not my strong suite. I had met with Mr. McLeod, after a few questions answered on the phone. He felt I had a good case, we met in person for a consultation and went over all the details. He then walked me trough the process- weather or not I chose to hire him - it was part of him educating me. It was very similar to what he has upon the web site, with a bit more impertinent information. I still chose to hire him for many reasons, he has a great track record, he was sincere, I am not a word sort of person- and legal things are not my strong suite,I did not want to be pushed around in court and get ran over. We met a little before the hearing time on the same day. I am so glad I had hired him, not just because we won, but if I had not I don't think I would have had much of a chance. There were a few hick ups in my case, such when he requested my UI file, UI sent it to my ex employer instead of my attorney, and then UI did not sent him the whole file and in addition to that he finally received it the evening before my hearing. I feel I would have had no chance if I had gone in it alone. Yet he took control over the situation and got things resolved. Having someone such as Mr. McLeod represent me was well worth it. He crossed his T's and dotted his I's.
Nick McLeod was an excellent advocate for me in reaching a settlement over an employment contract dispute. We reached a great settlement within a very short timeframe. He listened, provided great advice and insight. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I would not hesitate to refer any of my friends to Nick and Alan C. Olson & Assoc for employment related issues.

I am very grateful for the representation provided to me by Attorney Nick McLeod and Alan C Olson & Associates, S.C. I contacted various firms to determine if I even had a case. The other firms I originally talked to had legal assistants or inexperienced attorneys take the call, they were unable to provide any feedback, and just tried to get me in there for a paid consultation.
When Attorney Alan Olson took my call, he listened, asked questions, determined that I have a potential case, the possible outcome and most importantly, what it would cost me. He also returned various other calls from me to answer my questions. When I was ready to come in for a consultation, it was at my request, not his.
Nick McLeod was working with Alan on my case and eventually took the lead on it moving forward. He was very knowledgeable of my case and really proved his expertise in depositions of the opposing party. He was extremely thorough in his questions and brought out information that I didn't even know. After one of three depositions that day, I knew I was in great hands with a great attorney. Nick not only got the key defendant to admit he was dishonest once, but TWICE!
From the moment they took my case, they were committed to my matter, provided great representation and a very impressive outcome.
Well done Nick!
Kept us on track so he could get just the most important facts and information and based on that gave us an educated and honest explanation about our legal matter.

Nicholas McLeod represented me for an unemployment appeal hearing. He did a great job. Needless to say I was very nervous, stressed out and uncertain of what to expect. He kept me informed of every step of the process. He set expectations for the hearing and was very well prepared. Due to his attention to detail and competence, the hearing was decided in my favor. I would recommend him to anyone. I am very satisfied with the representation I received.

Nicholas Mcleod is a highly knowledgeable, from our first meeting to our hearing. Mr. Mcleod was able to show me how to be confident in myself and kept my emotions under control. I was a tearful wreck the first day we met him and by the end of that meeting were convinced that we made the right decision on who would do the best job for me. The soft spoke young man is a beast in the court room. He protected me and showed my employer that I deserved my unemployment. I would give an A++++ and refer him to anyone.

I was apprehensive about filing a lawsuit at first. I had a what I believed was a strong case, but still the thought of moving forward with an actual suit was daunting. I had zero experience with courtrooms, lawyers and lawsuits. Nick took the time to make sure I understood everything that was happening. All my calls and emails were answered immediately. Nick always followed up on emails and mailings to make sure I understood what was happening and what the next steps would be. Nick was able to keep my anxiety to a minimum and reassure me the whole time. Nick was very honest and upfront about everything from the costs, additional fees and how the pay structure worked. I was never surprised with any costs associated with the case. Nick was able to negotiate a settlement that I was very pleased with, without having to go to a trial. His professionalism is top-notch and he makes you feel like you are in control of your own case. Nothing happens without your consent and a full understanding of the situation. Even though I'm sure my case was smaller than many he represents, he never made me feel like my case was any less important than the big cases. I felt I got just as much attention and consideration as all his clients do. He took time to get to know me as a person and my family. Employment and disability law can be difficult to navigate. Nick handled all the paperwork for me and always acted in my best interest, while keeping me informed during the process.
As someone who has never been involved with a lawsuit and didn't know all the laws, the whole idea of filing suit was very intimidating. I felt much like a small fish in a big pond with all the bigger fish wanting to eat me alive! Nick made sure I remained confident even when I felt the fight was too big. I would recommend Nicholas M. McLeod to anyone seeking an employment lawyer. He does not make unrealistic promises and keeps everything truthful and straightforward. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. If he feels you don't have a case or if your case will be especially difficult to represent, he will tell you. Nicholas and his firm, Alan Olson & Associates, hold the highest moral standards.
