Nick is a great attorney. He went above and beyond what I paid him to do. He is very knowledgable and always called me back the same day when I had questions. He won my unemployment case, and got me my last check that my former employer wouldn't send me.

Mr. McLeod was very professional, knowledgeable, straightforward about what to expect or not to expect from him and the case, and was very responsive. He also gave an example of a past, similar case he dealt with and that also put my mind at ease. I would definitely hire him again in the future, if needed.

My experience with Nick McLeod GREAT. Hired Nick to appeal a LTD case from a large insurance company. My personal attempts working with the insurance company were very frustrating and discouraging. Individually, I was unsuccessful in obtaining LTD benefits and there was some confusion (on their end) as to whether I even had applied for LTD. I almost gave up. However, after I was awarded Social Security benefits, that's when I knew I had a strong case, but needed a professional. This is where Nick came into the picture and agreed to represent me. After doing much research and preparation, Nick's first attempt was rejection. This is standard procedure in the insurance industry and Nick expected it. Nick just came back even stronger against them. He won the case. As is usual insurance practice, after 3 yrs, the insurance company reviews the case again to ensure the beneficiary is still eligible for benefits. I recently received a letter from the insurance company that they were not even attempting to challenge my benefits. I will continue to receive LTD benefits until they decide to challenge me again in a few years. This was wonderful news !! Could their decision to not challenge my case be because I hired such a GREAT lawyer that they knew it was a waste of their time and money?? Thank's again Nick!!

It is with pleasure that I write this recommendation for Nick McLeod who from the beginning moved steadily forward in representing my interests in a contract dispute with a former employer. In what is all too common a business environment that often does not respect the legal or ethical rights of an employee, Nick did a great job in making evident what my legal options were. With a very well written and comprehensive reporting of the facts, Nick was able to ultimately steer the dispute to a satisfactory resolution.
I was most impressed by Nick's ability to look at every legal angle and the skill in presenting those issues in a written complaint. After having worked in management for more than 30 years, I know very well that both employers and employees need to respect each other and always remain honest and fair to each other. Unfortunately, not everyone follows what most of us believe to be standard rules of conduct. And for this reason, I am very thankful for Nick's dedication and for being an advocate for employee rights.

I hired Attorney Nicholas McLeod to handle my discrimination case that went to court November of 2012. I cannot begin to tell you how compassionate and knowledgeable this lawyer is. He truly cares about your story and helps you every step of the way to get the best possible outcome. I highly recommend Lawyer McLeod to anyone out there that’s been discriminated against in the workplace.

I was terminated by my employer after 3 plus years of employment. Despite the untrue allegations, I was denied unemployment benefits.
My husband and many of my family and friends had suggested I seek legal advice. Not knowing who to call or what to do, I decided to go to the computer and so I goggled Employment Attorney and Alan C. Olson & Associates was the first to attorney to appear, so I made the call and I was instantly transferred to a very nice and polite gentle man named Attorney Nicholas McLeod was his name. We spoke and we decided we had to meet. So the next day, our first meeting with Attorney Nicholas McLeod went very well and after we spoke my husband and I both agreed that we did need to seek legal representation it was going to be Attorney McLeod to represent my case. We aren’t even going to look any further, he was the one and we put our trust into his hands.
Attorney McLeod was very knowledgeable and very well prepared for the appeal hearing. He helped me to prepare for the hearing by walking me through what was going to take place and to answer the questions and just be honest. During the appeal hearing, even though I was a bundle of nerves and he was so professional, cool and calm and so very effective in presenting my case.
I can’t thank him enough for his help and his support that enabled me to win my case!

I was dismissed by my employer for not following a company policy. After speaking to the Unemployment Adjudicator, it was determined my dismissal was not for misconduct and unemployment benefits were allowed. My employer then appealed the Unemployment Adjudicators determination. That's when I contacted the reputable Law Offices of Allan C. Olson. They referred me to their Attorney Nicholas McLeod, an Attorney for Employee Rights.
At the initial consultation Atty. Nick McLeod, with his questions gathered the necessary facts and history about my employment. His knowledge of Labor & Employment Laws showed me his qualifications and legal expertise. I found him to be honest, trustworthy and a true advocate for my rights. Atty. Nick Mcleod prepared me and gave me the confidence I needed for the hearing. Thereafter, Atty. Nick McLeod answered my questions and communicated promptly with me by phone or email.
At the Unemployment Insurance Appeal Hearing, Atty. Nick Mcleod conducted himself with professionalism and courtroom etiquette. He was respectful to the Judge, appealant and myself. He stood up for me and fought for my rights. As a result, we won in appeals. I realized the money spent was a wise decission on my part. I have since recommended Atty. Nicholas McLeod to a personal friend.

I was terminated by my employer after 21 years as a loyal employee. I was hurt, in shock and angry. Despite the untrue allegations, I was denied unemployment benefits.
I decided that it was time to get legal advice so I could get the benefits that I felt I was entitled to. My first meeting with Attorney Nicholas McLeod went very well and he was able to draw out of me the facts of the situation.
He helped me gather all the important information that I would need to win my case. He was knowledgeable and very well prepared for the appeal hearing. Attorney McLeod helped me to prepare for the hearing by walking me through what was going to take place. During the appeal hearing, he was very professional and quite effective in presenting my case. He helped me feel very supported and confident.
I can’t thank him enough for his help and his support that enabled me to win my case.

I was terminated by my employer due to misconduct. My solid work ethic, education and many years of recognized performance did not prepare me for the mental trauma that followed.
Because of the false accusation I was denied unemployment benefits. The adjudicator for unemployment did not uncover the facts in the phone conversations and the errors in his report were more upsetting. I had never been fired, unemployed or without an income. The feelings of being denigrated and demoralized were overwhelming with physical symptoms.
Despite having a paralegal certificate, I felt trampled and unable to adequately represent myself during the appeal process. Attorney Nick McLeod responded to my online inquiry. Not having an income and hesitant to spend any savings, I questioned utilizing an attorney. I made the wisest decision for myself. After our fact finding consultation that included a power outage, I left his office feeling able to breathe, eat and sleep normal again. It was obvious to me that this attorney reflected my own values and work ethic and would focus on the legal issues.
Nick is extremely knowledgeable in employment law. He empathizes but can remain objective, confident and reassuring. He assumes the role of a great coach and manager, thoroughly preparing with different strategies. He promptly responds to concerns with phone calls and emails. I have no doubt that he approaches all of his clients and their cases this way.
Retaining Nick was an investment in myself. I continue to thank him for his ethical and diligent representation and I am completely satisfied with our victorious appeal. Nobody anticipates going through a process like this but if I were ever to encounter it again, Nick McLeod would be my first and only choice.

You hope that you never really have to get legal representation, (because unfortunately, that often means there is a stressful legal dispute that needs to be solved) but sometimes, things happen in life where you absolutely need an honest attorneys knowledge and support, and this was one of those times.... I endured harrassment at the hands of my own employer and was forced to resign, due to the fact that Human Resources refused to stop this individual's unethical behavior, discipline the individual in question, or protect me by transferring / removing me from the situation.... Despite me choosing to resign, I was met with encouragement from my former employer, who assured me that they were extremely sorry I had to endure such harrassment, understood my reasons for leaving, and even encouraged me to apply for unemployment.... However, after applying for unemployment, I was also blindsided by the same HR director's false statements to unemployment, claiming little to no knowledge of such harrassment, (even though myself and another employee already filed a written complaint) they acted as if I "quit for no reason" leading to an unfair denial and no unemployment benefits, due to my former employers dishonesty..... I was referred to Attorney Nick McLeod (Alan Olsen & Associates) who met with me face to face. He calmly assured me that I was doing the right thing, and not to worry, as he was confident we would win the case..... He showed compassion, and a genuine interest in my case, as we went over every detail for almost 2 hours.... We also went over witness statements and guidelines for giving testimony and responding to cross-examination, all in preparation of my future court date... I appealed the previous decision and a hearing was set in front of an administrative law judge. Nick questioned my former employer so thoroughly, to the point of them eventually becoming flustered! They had no choice but to admit (in front of the judge) that the harrassment occured (even though they downplayed the severity of it) with Mr. McLeod's expertise, the judge saw right through it, and granted my appeal, reversing the original denial and approving my unemployment benefits! .... This wasn't about money, it was about principle.... Thanks to Mr. McLeod's continued professionalism, support, and "thinking outside the box", I was able to win both a financial & moral victory... I've already referred him to one individual, and will continue to praise his good graces in the future!!!.... THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!! :)

I retained Nick to defend me against my former employer's appeal to my unemployment benefits claim. Nick was incredibly professional, but still down-to-earth where I felt comfortable talking with him and prepared for every part of my trial. He provided me with ideas on what questions I might be asked and came to the appeal with an extensive list of questions to ask my employer, all of which were very damaging to their case. The judge in my case seemed very impressed by Nick's preparedness and my employer seemed very flustered. I left the appeal feeling very confident of my prospects and very happy I decided to retain Mr. McLeod's services. I would definitely hire him again.

Nick was very good at keeping me informed about my case, and when I thought things were progressing a litle slow, after contacting him, he immediately pushed the other lawyers to respond. Even though I did not recieve the monetary award I had hoped for, it was not Nick's fault, and he explained very clearly the reason, which made sense after the explanation. At all times, he advised me on the best way to proceed with the case, allowing me to give my input, and I feel we were successful in our pursuit. I realize he is young, but I believe he will be a successful attorney because of his dedication to his clients and his knowledge of the law.

I posted an inquiry online to his firm for assistance with a workmen's compensation problem. He responded to me the very next day and assured me I could win my case. I hired him immediately. When I met with him, he spent 1.5 hours with me, asking the right quetions and prepping me for the hearing. He was very kind and knowledgeable. He met with me again before the hearing and calmed me down and was very diligent in making me focus and understand the proceedings. The hearing went exactly as he described. I know I could not have won without his help. I highly recommend him.

Represented myself in an unemployment hearing. Upon meeting him, it became very obvious that although he is a younger attorney, he was confident and certainly was prepared and knowledgeable. With his representation, the case was easily won. Nick was poised and asked the right questions.

Working with Nick was somewhat of an unknown. I was referred to alan Olson by some attorney friends of mine. In the middle of my representation I was switched to Nick. At first I saw this as a white flag ,but nick, as he got better and adjusted became a real asset. I recognize you have to start somewhere but I wasn't sure it was right for me. We ended up winning our case (decision final on May 18, 2010) and restoring my faith in someone that was truly on my side. I would'nt hesitate recommending Nick to anyone who is put in a silmilar situation as I was.

I had lost my faith in the legal system for some time due to past experiences with other attorneys. It is refreshing and I am so blessed to be working with Attorney McLeod. HIs knowledge with the employment laws is nothing short of outstanding. Most importantly his professionalism and integrity should be an example to others. Our community needs to be aware of outstanding attorneys because there are very few out there.
The firm Attorney McLeod works for is Alan C. Olson & Associates. Every person associated with this law firm is excellent to work with. Attorney Alan C. Olson should be proud of himself and his law firm.
I just want to say Thank You.

Alan Olson and Associates are effective advocates for Employee Rights. I originally started with Alan and then my case was handed to Nick. At first I was a little nervous but let me tell you, he is a very clear headed and straight forward attorney. He is very knowledgeable and always provided me with solid suggestions. He is very cautious and works hard creating a strong case. I also believe that he is of strong moral character. I would and have recommen Alan & Associates to my friends.

After numerous searches and meetings with other attorneys, they just did not sound as confident and attentive to the details of my case as Alan C. Olson & Associates, S. C. After meeting attorney Olson, my case was handed over to attorney McLeod. My experience with Nick has been very pleasant. Nick is very professional and he had good knowledge of my case the entire time. His response turnaround time was great; sometime I would get same day responses. He was also very thorough, which is something very important to me. I would definitely recommend him.

I had a great experience with Nick McLeod. I came to Nick after my employer discharged me as Human Resources Manager, which I believed I was terminated without reasonable cause. However, Nick settled my case quickly, was always professional, and responded on a timely manner. He was an easy attorney to work with and able to provide competent legal assistance throughout the entire time he represented me. I am extremely pleased with his work ethics and would recommend him to any acquaintances, friends or family members. If I had a chance to work with Nick again in the future for any legal disputes, I would not hesitate to make him my number one choice. If you are contemplating which attorney is suitable for you, I suggest Nick to end your troubling frustrations.

For an attorney with only a year or two of experience, Nick represented me in a professional, thorough and excellent fashion. He was always available and attentive to my needs. I felt like he was extremely knowlegeable in his field. My case was very complex and he spent more than enough time to understand the nuances of my situation. I would definiteley recommend he represent you (or myself again). Richard Freiwald

I've always tried to be a fair employer. However, an ex-employee filed a complaint against me demanding $43,000 in back wages. To make matters worse, if he was correct in his assumptions, I would owe about $400,000 in back wages to both former and present employees. On a strong recommendation I was advised to seek counsel. I met with Nick who quickly put me at ease. Nick assured me that most of the claim was unfounded. I left my case in Nick's hands and it was resolved within a couple of months. Nick kept me well informed throughout the process. My hands on involvement after submitting all the information that Nick requested was zero, the same amount that I ended up paying out to my ex-employee.
I would recommend Nick to anyone in a heartbeat.

I would recommend Nick to anyone of my friends or family.
