After a severe injury on the job I started running the maze of WC adjusters and Doctors. I had the gullibility to believe that the WC adjuster was fair and straightforward. I was wrong. One surgery later and three months off work later I finally contacted Jake. I never really trusted insurance companies before, but now, I will never even give them the benefit of doubt. Jake found numerous mistakes in their handling of my case. He had them correct them with interest. When complications developed from the surgery, I had to go to the ER. All of a sudden the adjuster decided to disagree with the ER Dr. and the Dr that preformed the surgery. The adjuster sent a rather nasty letter essentially stating that they were not liable for the ER visit and there was no way that this was connected to the original injury. Of course I had to sue them. I am not a person that has ever sued or even thought I would ever have to. In the end, Jake negotiated to have the Drs paid off in full, a fair settlement (according to the guidelines) with interest and to keep the claim open for future medical care to be paid for by the insurance company.
I hold Jake Peters in the highest regard. He is very straightforward, honest and knowledgeable. If I am ever injured again he will be my first call.

Jake is is a great attorney. He settled my case using a very methodical process. He always returned my calls or emails in a prompt manner and answered all my questions as needed. He kept the process simple an concise. He obtained a better outcome for my case than I expected!

After both shoulders were injured and the 2nd one needed re-repaired suddenly my company which was self insured, brought in another insurance company and assigned me an advocate who frankly told me this was all to try to save the company from higher damage costs. After seeing the amount they all wished to give me, I went to Jake Peters showed him all my paperwork from the first injury through the second injury to the current time. He agreed they were trying to get over on me and the process began as my free consultation then became a contract agreement. My employer then, as soon as I talked to their attorney promptly and permanently laid me off. Be prepared for this. You can't just sit back and waite. You have to do some homework for your case and help get the ducks in a row so to speak. For me it was more the principle of the situation. They were going to go to a LOT of expense to try to give me just a little??!! So I was angry and frustrated by these shenanagens. Ask questions - any and all questions from how they figure what you get percentages to when they have to start paying if you win. My advocate lady was telling me I would get more than I could ever imagine after what I went through. Umm No. About one third actualy of what I had conjured in my head. It was however better than the pittance of pennies they were trying to give me. So do not be afraid to ask questions as answering them is part of his job. Ask yourself questions to - like are you prepared to lose your job over this etc. Weigh all things against all things and let the checks and balances make your decision for you - NOT emotions.

In the past I have had the need for an attorney and the experience left me flat. When they spoke to me they would never look me in eye, plus they never answered my question fully. But Jake is my attorney from now on before we pursued my case he looked me in eye and explained all the options and possible out comes. He kept informed all the time. He did a fantastic job. I would recommend him to my friends and family p

Jake went extra steps to help me with my claim. He found me a second doctor to help review my injury. He pushed to get my family insurance reinstated. He met me before his office hours to accomadate me when I returned to work. But what impressed me the most was he returned my phone call or email within 24 hrs with an answer, but more times than not it was the same day. I would definitely recommend Jake for anyone I know.

I was injured while at work; a job I had held for 11 years. This was the first and only time I had had an accident at work and I suddenly found that not only was my job being threatened, I was having difficulty getting reimbursed for medicine, dressings and for the mileage I incurred driving to doctor's visits and to therapy. That's when my sister suggested I consult Mr. Peters. I've never seen a lawyer for anything like this and have always heard that 99% of lawyers make the rest of them look bad, so to say I was a little apprehensive is an understatement. I called Mr. Peters and was shocked when he called me back that same day, listened to my situation and offered his assistance. He wasted no time in getting the ball rolling. I was concerned about what lawyers charge, and he was upfront and honest about that. There was no consultation fee and his fee for representing me was a small percentage of what my settlement would be. If there was no settlement-there would be no fee. And then he began working on my case. This situation was resolved in a matter of months and Mr. Peters took all the work and most of all, the worry away from me. I know that because of his efforts, I was fairly compensated and without his help, I would have been stuck with unpaid bills, no compensation and quite possibly no job. I will not hesitate to recommend Mr. Peters to anyone who has had the misfortune of having a work related accident, because this man is definitely at the top of his game. He has years of experience, and he understands the position that injured workers are sometimes put in. And the icing on the cake-he's genuinely a nice guy.

In a case of my husbands accident. I myself as his wife tried to handle his work comp on my own. With not getting results I had no choice but to hire an attorney. After doing research and talking with people I was told Jake Peters will get it done. He will ensure that you are treated fairly and will get whatever it is coming to you that you deserve. So we, my husband and I put our trust in Jake and I am hear to say, Jake Peters is getting it done.
He communicates very well. Always follows up on things and shows he cares. My husbands case wasn't a typical workers comp case it was actually quite difficult and involved several doctors.
Jake was always willing to take the time to listen to my concerns and answer any questions when I felt uncomfortable with what was happening. Our case is not 100% settled yet but with the help of Jake, my husband is currently receiving weekly benifits and is still working.
I hope for the sake of my husbands accident and what he went through, that I never have to hire Mr Peters again. However if a workers comp situation strikes us again. My first call will be Jake Peters Law Firm.
