I expected for the price we paid to at least be able to contact John after we paid him. I paid him prior to my case being 100% settled and since he received our money he has totally ignored our calls. I have called the office several times I mean like 4 times a week for two weeks straight. I have left my name and number for him to get back with me and nothing. It's absolutely ridiculous for a professional to treat a client like this. I understand lawyers are busy but he wasn't too busy to call me back before he got paid. We never met with John before any type of hearings, we were totally blindsided on what to expect. We were givin no heads up or this is how its going to go speech, nothing. And then after it was all said and done we were charged another $500.00, for what? To file a few additional pieces of paperwork.... Am very dissatisfied. It was a total joke!!!
I thought John Magyar and his assitant did an outstanding job with our bankruptcy. I would highly recommend his Law Office to anyone in Cass County, Michigan considering filing either Chapter 7 or Chapter 13. John and his staff listened and responded to my concerns and issues, both general questions and those unique to my case. I didn't know anything about the difference in the two types when I started. John gave me a list of items to bring to the office that enabled me to file for Chapter 7. John represented my interests both in the filing of the documents and in court with outstanding competency, knowledge, and experience. I felt comfortable trusting him with such an important court document that would determine my financial future. He helped me in gathering the needed documents and kept me informed every step of the way, from the initial meeting until the eventual dismissal of debt. It felt like trusting family. Bankruptcy is complicated and it was well worth the money.
