    First, your employer cannot discriminate against you based upon your disability (demoting you, fires you, forces your resignation, etc.) and they generally must provide reasonable accomodations for your disability. Many times private healthcare does exclude coverage from motor vehicle accidents, but it would depend on the wording of the health insurance contract.     To answer your initial question, a lawsuit can be filed against most any entitiy. There are not laws making credit unions immuine from suit. The real question is whether or not it would be worth doing so. If you read the small print on your loan, it will state that all modifications to the loan must be in writing (and not verbally).
