    Andrew’s Answer

Since you are prohibited from assistance by an attorney in small claims cases, my suggestion would be to go to the Supreme Court Administrator's Office's Small Claims Self Help. I have included the link in my response.

You must file a Worker's Compensation claim. Workers Compensation is your recourse in Michigan for injuries while on the job.

  • Do I have a case for discrimination against a employer for refusal to hire?

I voluntarily left a job with a buyout, i had a refferal to get a job at same location again took drug test passed physical and even interviewed.........its the same location I worked at but a differnent company runs it now. They pulled my work hi...

    Andrew’s Answer

It sounds like the refusal to hire occurred 3 years ago? Depending on exactly when it occurred, you could be looking at a Statute of Limitation issue where you would be prohibited from taking action against the employer. I would suggest you contact an attorney immediately to discuss the factual scenario in more detail to determine if you have a case and if there is any time left to file suit against the employer. There could be a cause of action for failure to hire, but such cases are very fact specific.

  • Can my boss dicuss my medical conditions with my subordinates and others?

I have fibromylgia. And my doctor has been changing my meds to find one that helps. Well this last one didn't agree with me. Bad side effects. made me sick so took a day off from work had a doctors note. Then got to work monday and my boss told my...

    Andrew’s Answer

First, your employer cannot discriminate against you based upon your disability (demoting you, fires you, forces your resignation, etc.) and they generally must provide reasonable accomodations for your disability. I would suggest talking with an attorney immediately to discuss your boss's statemtnt that you can't do your job. An attorney would be able to best annalyze your situation. Also, from your limited facts, it doesn't seem that there would have been any privacy violation as there is no rule of confidence between your direct supervisor and an employee. But more facts would need to be known to further analyze any privacy claim.

  • If an employee shows up for work on time/when scheduled, can the employer say they can not clock in due to a scheduling mistake?

Employee showed up for work when scheduled and told to leave for an hour and come back. Was not allowed to clock in.

    Andrew’s Answer

There is nothing prohibiting your employer from doing this. Should your employer do this alot, then I would suggest looking for a new job. It would be a different story if you were scheduled an 8 hour day, you worked the 8 hour day, and then your employer would come to you saying you were only supposed to work for 4 hours and try to take back 4 hours of pay. But that doesn't seem to be your question.

  • I have a traffic misdeamenor warrant for a unpaid ticket in farmington hill mi can I still renew my tags at the secretary ofstat

Will I be arrested in Detroit

    Andrew’s Answer

I think you may have asked this question twice, so check your previous question for my first response. But this question provide more facts. You need to get your unpaid ticket and warrant cleared up before even worrying about your license plate tags. I would talk to an attorney to help you walk through getting your warrant cleared up and your ticket paid so you do not have to worry about getting arrested.

    Good luck.

  • I have a traffic misdeamor in Farmington hills mi for a unpaid ticket I also need to go to the secretary of state to renew tags

Will I be arrested for renewing dem

    Andrew’s Answer

I am not exactly sure what you mean by a "traffic misdeamor...for a unpaid ticket." If there is a bench warrant for your arrest, you can be arrested. I think your question may be whether or not the Secretary of State will call the police because of your unpaid ticket. That all depends on whether the clerk at the Secretary of State would know if you have a bench warrant issued for your arrest or not.

In any case, you should get your unpaid traffic ticket cleared up now. Have somone with valid license tags drive you there. If you think you may be arrested, I would contact an attorney to go over with him or her all of the facts and circumstances. Once you get your unpaid ticket taken care of, you shouldn't need to worry about the Secretary of State turning you in.

  • Is it illegal for someone to falsely accuse you of theft, if so can you sue if you are being accused?

I am a teen looking for help. I have been accused by a teacher of stealing school property. she has told me that "If i don't get the camera back, I'm going to get the police and principle involved." This is apposing a threat to me. Because I did n...

    Andrew’s Answer

If someonw intentially files a false report with the police, that would be unlawful. Should someone actually believe you committed the crime and reports the same, then that would not be unlawful. I would get your parents involved and others who can back up your story before the teacher takes it to the police.
