My elderly parents went to him with a real estate transaction question about 3 years ago. He did meet with them/us for a period of time and then suggested they give him a $500 retainer for any future issues. They never spoke with him again. Recently I called him to inquire about returning their retainer. It took several phone calls to get an answer from him, and several more weeks to return their money. In addition, he was not very cordial when we finally spoke - asking why we waited 3 years to ask for the money back. When they finally received the check, he had deducted a large amount for the initial (and only) meeting AND also charged 1/4 hour of his time for talking to me (roughly 5 minutes) about returning their money - that he had the use of for about 3 years. Very petty and unprofessional.
I I would highly recommend Mr. Piper for any landlord-tenant legal matters. He handles all of our non-payment / eviction proceedings for our property management company. We manage over 4000+ units and the systems Mr. Piper has in place ensure there is nothing lost in any of our proceedings. I would strongly recommend him.
