I began my career by working as a Research Attorney for a Family Court Judge in March 2001, after graduating from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. After working for a Family Court Judge for five years and watching what trials do to families, I decided that I would do whatever it takes to avoid high conflict divorces that ended in divorce trials. After joining a firm in March 2006 that had a quality reputation for their dedication in helping families through divorce as amicably as possible, I completed my Family Mediation training in April 2006 and my domestic violence training in May 2006. I competed Collaborative Practice training in May 2008. I completed the ICLE Family Law Certificate Program in May of 2008.
I have now opened my own office in Fenton, MI. I have many options available for any budget and situation. I handle cases in Livingston, Genessee, Washtenaw and Oakland Counties.
I am a firm believer that when cases are mediated, especially before or soon after filing, the children are much less negatively affected by the divorce. I believe that mediation or Collaborative Practice are a wonderful alternative to Court. I am dedicated to being a fair and neutral mediator that will assist the parties in obtaining an agreement that both parties are able to live with.
