After being ticketed with an OWI and a CI violation while in the state of Michigan I decided it was time to seek out a professional for help. At the time I knew no one in the area to ask so I turned to the internet to find a lawyer. Since it was a weekend when I started entering in my case information I really wasn’t expecting to get any feedback until the following Monday. I was shocked to see that I got an email response back from ABDO law firm. After calling Mr. Abdo back and explaining what lead up to my arrest, I found him very caring and a professional. All though I was embarrassed and mortified to talk about my case with someone that I did not know he kept assuring me that they could help in this matter. Within just a few minutes I had hired a law firm to act in my behalf to represent me at my first pre-trial hearing. By this time Mr. Abdo was asking me to call him Cy and he was taking notes of everything about my case. He did ask me to send him what I had from my traffic accident and a copy of anything that I had that pertained to my case. Before the night was over, I was receiving email messages discussing what could transpire due to Michigan law and the facts of my case. It was so assuring to know that I had help in this matter. From the first phone call with Cy I was told that they would arrange to limit my return trips into Michigan since I was from out of state. By the time my trial came before the court Cy had told me that his son Matthew would be handling my case. Taking the advice of his firm and following their direction my charges were reduced down to only a CI charge against my record. I am so glad that I found the ABDO law firm to represent me. My only regret is that I never had the opportunity to actually meet Cy in person and shake his hand and personally thank him for all his hard work. I could not have found a better law firm anywhere!

I am in the military and stationed overseas. I came back home for my birthday and had a great celebration with friends from all over the United States. The law enforcement in Royal Oak decided that being "too loud" was a crime and arrested me. This is very bad considering I am an officer in the military and could have been career ending. Mr. Abdo saved my career by helping me remove this issue off my record. Thank you again for the help and saving my career.

Third Degree Retail Fraud. Case dismissed after 90 days probation. Decent price for not going to jail. Great lawyer and firm. I am so glad I contacted him.

He gives you the facts & delivers on every promise.
I'm grateful to him for his services, but more importantly for the integrity he brings to
balance the fear & confusion.

I was completely unfamiliar with the criminal justice process and Cy helped me immensely! He did what I thought was impossible by getting my charges reduced. He kept me informed and answered all of my questions. I literally put my future in his hands and he did not fail me.
I made an incredibly stupid mistake and Cy made sure I wouldn't be made to pay excessively for that mistake. The outcome in my case was the best I could hope for and Cy is the reason it did turn out as well as it did. I am grateful to him and his firm for doing what they do best.
Without hesitation, I would recommend Cy Abdo and his firm (one of his associates assisted me initially) to anyone in need of legal representation.

I recommend Cy Abdo for legal representation without reservation. Cy represented me for a repeat drunk driving offense. Not only did I receive the lowest sentence possible but Cy took me through the process step by step. Cy treated me like family. Cy is honest, well respected but most of all well versed and knowledgeable in the court room. If I ever need legal representation in the future there is no doubt who I will use........ Cy Abdo

Professional. Interested. ...and dedicated. People are fortunate if they're able to find an attorney with one of those attributes, however, if you call, Cy Abdo, will find all three. Whatever our needs, especially when we were most upset, we could call Cy. He would listen to us, answer our questions, and address our concerns. We've used his services for all our legal needs and we would, truly, recommend him!

I can say that Cy and Matt did an good job handling my case. At the first meeting, they explained everything that could be done and all of my options in a way that I understood. I talked to other lawyers and It was hard to get straight answers so I have a way to compare the services which I received. I have called the office after my case was done and they take my calls without sending me a bill for every little thing. They weren't the lowest priced lawyers but told me the total fee in the beginning and didn't ask for any other fees. I liked the flat fee agreement because I don't like surprises and heard horror stories about other lawyers billing practices. I would recommend this firm.

Mr. Abdo allowed me the opportunity of interning with his office in the summer of 2010 and again in summer 2011. During that time, I learned many lessons under his guidance that have been invaluable to me as I prepare for a future career in law.
Based on my experience working for him, I would recommend him with utmost confidence to anyone looking for an attorney. Mr. Abdo is very talented, and he is appreciated and valued by all of his clients. He truly respects his clients, and his strong ethics and integrity are obvious to all who meet him. Mr. Abdo is the most skilled attorney I have had the honor of working with, and in all my time at his office I never saw a client leave unhappy with the work Mr. Abdo did for him or her.
If you are in need of an attorney, I strongly encourage you to contact Mr. Abdo's office. His skill, intelligence and experience will definitely be to your benefit.

August of 2010 I was charged with felony and immediately hired and off-the-wall attorney. The case went nowhere for 8 months. That is when I fired my initial attorney and retained Cy. I told Cy about my situation and my military career was in jeopardy. Within two months, and proper litigations with the prosecuting attorney, Cy and his staff was able to reduce the charges to a simple misdemeanor with a $300 fine and no probation. I'm very fortunate to have found Abdo Law during this tough experience. Cy has been on time for every court date/meeting and answers all phone calls and emails within an excellent time frame. He’s very professional with a splash of humor to keep his client as comfortable as possible. I will most definitely retain him in the future and recommend Abdo to friends and family.

When I found myself in trouble I started searching on-line and asking around for advise. There were so many choices on-line, but in person I kept hearing about Mr. Abdo and his office.
After meeting with Cy, he made me feel comfortable about my situation. He told me the truth about the consequences that I faced, but he also made a commitment to do his best. And that he did, he always informed me of exactly where I stood.
I can't tell you how grateful I am to him and his staff. There were times where we could have taken the easy way out, but Cy had my future in his hands and fought to the end.... it payed off!!
At this point... if faced with the need for an attorney, the only call I would make would be to Mr. Abdo!

When I moved to Michigan, I was unfortunate enough to receive a D.U.I. Not being from the area, I looked into the phone book and picked out the biggest add from the yellow pages for my first lawyer. I paid him $5,000.00 to take my case. I thought he would be a great lawyer, just from the basis of where his office was and how much he charged. Well, I soon learned that I was wrong. After him showing up late, lying to me, not preparing me for court, and never hearing from him again, I was hit with the worst possible fines and penalties. I felt alone and confused and was blindly stuck in the court system. That's when I found Cy Abdo. He was able to take my case and present it directly to the head of probation, have my final court date dismissed, charge me a reasonable fee, and still to this day will answer legal questions for me even though I presently reside in AZ! He's a lawyer who not only knows how the court system works, he is an honest individual who is in his profession to help people and NOT take advantage.

Cy Abdo gave me such a great experience that I am no longer "fearful" or nervous about lawyers! He made me feel extremely comfortable and positive about my situation. He ALWAYS kept me informed about the progression of my case. I would highly reccommend him to anyone! All of those who I have already reccommended him to have come out extremely happy and satisfied!! I got in touch with CY after I had been caught driving on a suspended license. It was going to add an additional year to my suspension although I was technically able to reapply for my driving privaleges. Cy worked with the court and got me the best possible Plea. Its almost like it never happened. Now I am free to get my license back

Cy Abdo was referred to me by a family member after I was involved in some legal issues relating to assault. Cy was able to get my felony charged reduced to a misdemeanor and helped me to avoid jail time. My experiences with Cy were very professional and he helped to give me peace of mind during this very stressful situation.
I would, and plan to recommend Cy Abdo to friends and family in the future.

He handled certain personal matters in Macomb County. I can say that all of the fee information was given to me at the first meeting and he put it in an agreement. He never charged me any more than he quoted at our first consultation. He did not charge me for certain costs like copies and postage which other lawyers tack on at the end. He addressed all of my questions every time I called or stopped in to talk to him. I was impressed because he was early for every court date and talked to me and was not on his cell phone talking to other clients or ignoring me like I saw other lawyers doing. I felt comfortable at court because he explained everything that was going to happen and helped me prepare a statement to read to the Judge which was a lot easier with his help. He also sent me a letter when my case was complete which contained all of the information that I would need for future reference regarding my case. I talked to other lawyers who were indirect and made me frustrated. I found him to be very organized, professional and accessible.

Mr. Abdo has taken care of a few speeding tickets for me and I would recommend him to anyone. Not only is he a great attorney but he treats you like a friend. Friends help you out when you are in need and do everything they can to get you out of trouble; Cy Abdo does those exact things. I can always count on him for advice and services. I wouldn't trust my legal problems with anyone else. Thanks again Cy!

Mr Abdo assisted my husband and I several years ago with some legal issues. Prior to hiring Mr. Abdo we went through several years of up hill battles trying to get a fair chance against the law. Mr. Abdo was very professional and treated us great. Mr. Abdo's experience was invaluable! What a fantastic lawyer and professional. Within a very short period of time all of our issues were taken care of and behind us. I highly recommend Mr. Abdo.

Kept me calm in a time where I was most stressed out and most importantly did an amazing job in the court room. Knows his away around the courts, always answered my questions, and provided great law services to my family and I.

Mr. Abdo is our Family Attorney. We've used his services for Real Estate, Probate, Traffic Issues, and Legal Advice. He's always been approachable, (and accessible), by taking every call for any questions or concerns we have had, especially at the times we were feeling most anxious. He has always represented us professionally and to our total satisfaction.

I went there because I had been arrested, but no formal charges were brought yet. He didn't tell me I didn't need an attorney yet. I gave him $1750 in advance. (What if I wasn't formally charged with the crime?). He did tell me, at great length, how great a lawyer he was. Showing me a book of thank you cards from prevous clients. He also said he had some exceptional rating from the Bar Association. I guess I was gullable enough to believe him at his word. Then he swipped my credit card thru the machine... AT HIS DESK! After that he & his receptionist would get annoyed if I called, for any reason, no matter how important I felt it was. I had never been in a position like this before, I had some questions! He didn't show for my arraingment, sent some "guy". He did show for my day in court. Told me how much he would charge if it went to trial, (Basically, talking me out of going to trial). I wouldn't plea guilty, though he suggested it, because I wasn't guilty. I asked what other choice I had, he said "no contest", I guessed that was better than guilty. He told the Judge I was to plea no contest for civil reasons. (He explained that this was so no one could try to ask for damages). When sentinceing came I was given probation and told that a "nolo" plea was a guilty plea by my probation officer. I was given 6 month probation PLUS had to pay the "victim" restitution! Mr. Abdo dismissed this as nothing worth fighting for! Though it is only a misdemeanor assault... that I didn't do, it's no big deal to him BUT it sure is a big deal to me. I spent over $3000 on something I really didn't do. And he got $1750 for something he really didn't do. I am disabled and on Social Security. I couldn't pay the fines, court costs and restitution in cash, plus his $1750 on the credit card too, so now Capitol One has filed suit to collect. I have nothing so they will get nothing.
Bottom line here is: Shop around and find someone who will work as your representative and is willing to answer your questions.
