I'd consider a careless driving a HUGE win. You'd be foolish not to take a civil infraction with the risk of having a OWI on your record. Your attorney has the right to withdraw. If you still wanted to go forward with this case at trial, I'm sure there would be many people willing to take it to trial for an additional fee. If you came to me, I'd take it to trial, but make sure that you understood how foolish it would be not to take the civil infraction. -Attorney Scott Aaronson 877-I-...

OWIs (Michigan DUIs) are extremely complex to litigate. You absolutely need an attorney. Make sure that when you talk to an attorney your attorney explains to you the entire process and talks about doing things like pulling videos and datamaster logs. If they don't they are probably just setting you up to take a plea. While you likely wouldn't get jail on a first offense in Southfield, you should know that OWIs will stay on your record for the rest of your life. You should hire a competent...

Put simply you need to hire an attorney. Most lawyer fees are actually closer to 33% (that is what my office usually charges). While you may not want to give that type of money to an attorney the truth is that an attorney can usually make a heck of a lot more money for you than you can make on your own. In my experience attorneys almost always more than pay for themselves as the insurance company will try to screw you over if they see you don't have one. HIRE AN ATTORNEY AT ONCE!...

Absolutely. There are several things to consider. For instance, if you are under 21, you most likely would want to plea under HYTA instead of 7411. 7411 can only be used once your entire life while HYTA can only be used before you are 21. Things like this an experienced attorney should know. Attorney Scott Aaronson 877-I-CAN-WIN

This is normal procedure. Usually you will have to appear in front of a judge for an arraignment within 14 days, or after the court receives the ticket. There are certain things that need to be done right away however. Ideally, the first thing a good attorney will do is FOIA the dash cam video evidence and booking video to make sure that the police followed the proper procedures. If this isn't done within 30 days, the tapes could get deleted. I'd call a criminal defense attorney ASAP to...
