Neil did an excellent job of defending me in an OWI case that eventually led to dismissal.
In extracting, from me, all the details that led to my initial arrest, analysis of the discovery data and superb cross-examination of witnesses he was able to build a solid argument that neutralized the prosecution and the case was dropped.
I am very grateful for his skills.

I first retained Neil on a case about 10 years ago. He proved to be exceptionally skillful counsel. Fast forward to 2015, and I found myself facing wage garnishment for past due criminal restitution. Neil not only helped arrange a settlement for less than 10% of the amount due, he also was able to successfully get my bond forfeiture dismissed. Thank you for saving me over $25k!

Neil has been such a blessing! Although I've known him on a professional level for over 15 years, I never thought that I would have the need to hire him! My 20 year old son got into some pretty serious trouble while visiting me up north for the 4th of July weekend. To make matters even worse, he was already in violation of his probation in the Rochester District Court resulting in a warrant and license suspension on a 1st Offense MIP charge. Although I know many Attorneys, I didn't know who to trust to handle a felony case and the District Court case that I was sure would result in my son serving jail time. Neil came highly recommended by another Attorney friend of mine and I immediately contacted him. He was very understanding and made me feel confident that he could handle both cases without my son going to jail. Between him and Colin and their wonderful office staff, I felt a sense of relief that we were in good hands. I see so many Attorneys settle cases instead of fight for their clients. Not Neil! He sincerely wants to right the wrong and that is so refreshing! Neil and Colin worked hard to get the Felony and one of the misdemeanor charges in the case up north dismissed in exchange for a guilty plea to two minor charges both of which were taken under the HYTA program, meaning, as long as my son successfully completes 9 months of probation, those charges will not go on his permanent record. No Jail time, NONE!!
What a huge relief! Then came time to face the Judge in Rochester and he did not back down one bit! She is one of the toughest Judges in Oakland County but not as tough as Neil! He did his research and knows the law. Instead of my worst fears coming true, which was jail time and extended probation, the Judge revoked and discharged him from probation! It was finally over! Well almost! She decided to give him 30 WWAM days which equals 240 hours of community service. HA! Neil said NO WAY! So we are Appealing to the Circuit Court! Instead of feeling defeated Neil has given me a new sense of confidence. What is even better, my son found respect in the legal system, not through the courts but through his Attorney. He has finally taken a better path, one of which I've been praying for for a long time and I know that Neil and Colin both played a huge role in that. I will be forever grateful!

I am a 30 year old male who has been running a business for the past 10 years. The last year I feel like I've been harassed by undercover police who set me up into purchasing some product and I felt I did my du diligence and bought correctly. Unfortunitly I was WRONG! Roughly 3 months ago my business and home were raided and I was arrested! I was threatened by police that they were forfeiting all of my assets and my family's assets due to criminal activity!! I was told by police and FBI that they would drop charges to a minimal if I chose to "cooperate" with them. I am not the police and that's not my job. To make a long story short I went through 3 highly recomeneded attorneys and the reason for this was I wasn't willing to cooperate with police and every attorney I hired RECOMMENDED I COOPERATE! One attorney even had the nerves to tell me if I don't help them there going to ruin my life : ( . From the Grace of God I was fortunate to hire the BEST..NEIL ROCKIND! From the day I spoke to Neil and Collin I felt like a new man. I started to gain my confidence back! Neil Rockind is a class act lawyer who means business! He told me he would fight these allegations and I will be right with him while we go to war with the prosecution. Neil is the most caring lawyer out there. I had an issue where I was arrested during this whole mess and he personally drove to the police station to see me! ( I LOVE THIS MAN!) Neil and his whole team are the most reasonable people out there and they CARE about there clients! I was facing a 20 year Rico charge and Neil was able to settle this basically outside of the courtroom with a minor probation. I was so ready to see Neil in action but he's such a strong attorney that I didn't even have to take it that far! If you are in any sort of trouble with the law or accused of anything I recommend to get in touch with ROCKIND LAW! YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!

Neil has been my attorney for three trials. Bottom line; Neil is an exceptional attorney, treating each client as if they are his ONLY client. Neil took meticulous care with reviewing my case and preparing me for every step of the initial pretrial and later sentencing. While the most recent, first offense OWI sentencing outcome was a surprise all parties, Neil took it upon himself to work overtime to make multiple appeals, on his own dime. He is a man of his word, and on principle he refused to let the injustice stand. Ultimately, an appeal was granted in a timely fashion. Throughout the process, Neil was in communication after hours and on weekends, going above and beyond expectations to be readily available to me. Neil is an individual you want at your side going to war. He is poised, honorable, and relentless. Anyone who is looking for the best will get the best from Neil Rockind.

I have known Neil Rockind for almost 15 years and have had him represent my family and me several times including most recently. Neil is extremely intelligent, insightful, fearless, and relentless. He is someone I would trust back-to-back in a foxhole. When it comes to his profession, the only thing Neil cares as much about as winning is the welfare and quality of life of his client and his client's family. Neil is an extraordinary attorney whom I cannot recommend highly enough.

I cannot even begin to explain how amazing and exceptional Neil Rockind was in my trial case. I was charged with a 3rd DUI offense in Birmingham Michigan which is considered a felony and mandatory at least 30 days in jail. When I was pulled over I denied my pbt test but performed all of my sobriety tests as directed. The officer arrested me after I refused the pbt test and claimed that he smelled intoxicants coming from my vehicle. At the station I consented to getting my blood drawn and the result came back 7 months later as a .09. We took my case from the 48th district court (where we had pretrial with Judge Smalls) to the oakland county curcuit court for trial and Neil fought it to the very end. Neil always made sure that I was thoroughly understanding everything that was going on every step of the way. I completely thought my life was over and I was facing a felony and at the minimum 30 days in jail.. Neil and his team spent a great amount of time going over my case finding every reason to win and get me out of it. The trial was the scariest most traumatizing experience I have ever have been thru in my life not really knowing what the outcome was going to be. I left the Oakland County Circuit Court and was found not guilty all because of Neil and his dedication to getting my life back. Neil truly cares about his clients and will get you the justice you deserve. I can honestly say that he is the best criminal defense attorney that I have ever witnessed in the courtroom. He strategically cross examines the witnesses against you in a way that I think they even start to believe that they're wrong for even being against you. Neil is amazing and I owe him my life.

I met Neil under unfortunate circumstances, but if it wasn't for him, my fortunes would have been even worse. He has an unbelievable presence in the court room. You can almost feel the prosecuting attorneys shudder when he walks in, because they know the Rockweiler is coming for them. Bottom line is: Neil cares about his clients, and will go above and beyond to make sure that their rights are protected.

We retained Neil Rockind at a traumatic time in our lives to represent my husband when he was wrongly arrested and charged with a serious criminal assault offense. Although being a successful businessman for many years and well known in our strong support of our local community, we quickly and sadly came to realize that in the eyes of police acquaintances, political leaders, and other so-called legal experts in that field that when you are charged with a criminal act they automatically presume your guilt instead of innocence.
To make matters even worse, we were served with a civil suit by the plaintiff immediately afterward. We then learned that our insurance company would not be obligated to provide any legal defense or awards for damages which potentially could have resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars in damages and legal fees. The two lawyers we had originally consulted with advised him to plead "no contest" and because of the insurance companies refusal under the "reservation of rights" clause, that wasn't a viable option for us when we knew that if his side of the story was heard he could be exonerated.
Neil Rockind was the only attorney that we consulted with that after hearing his story and seeing the charges and reading the plaintiffs remarks to the police gave us any hope. Right after reading the above, he stood up and said "we are going to win this case, I just found your defense"!
After waiting 20 months because of the local prosecutor, police department and plaintiff pressing the Wayne County prosecutors office and working together to increase the charges against him to more serious criminal charges we finally had our day in court.
In Neil's opening remarks he set the tone for the trial. He quickly and completely dismantled the mistrusts and falsehoods presented by the Wayne County prosecutor's case. Neil's skilled preparation and presentation helped the jury see through the lies of the plaintiff and the maneuverings of the prosecutor. The savvy professionalism of Neil Rockind was a stark contrast to the unprofessional and undignified court proceedings of the two day trial. At the end of the day, when the jury foreman read the verdict of "Not Guilty on all charges" we were so thankful that we had chosen Neil Rockind's law firm to represent us when so much was on the line. His original promise to us that we would win came true because HE DID WIN!
Our sincere thanks and regards to you and your staff,
Alex and Deborah

Neil did an awesome job cross examining a Troy police officer. The officer was sweating and squirming in his seat. The officer basically did not quite remember what was the actual truth shown on the video. Very confident about his story when the prosecutor questioned him but lost his memory during cross examination. Great defense.
