I hired Ms. Williams to represent me in a divorce. When I first met her she seemed compassionate and eager to represent me. Once retained she was very different. She was loud, abrasive and degrading. After an initial meeting with my soon to be ex husband she appeared to be more sympathetic to his needs. She did not work for me. I know this because her paralegal couldn't even find my file on her desk buried under several others. I was locked out of my home I had shared with my ex for years. I lost everything because she told me I had no rights to enter the home. I did not receive 50% of assets, including my ex husband's retirement. What I did receive was a $3,500 bill from Ms. Williams. She scolded me if I called her with questions. She told me questions would only "cost me". She told me calling her was taking her time away from my case. Her paralegal who was about to have a nervous breakdown herself, told me how badly Ms. Williams spoke of me. I was told that she was dismissed as a judge because of how badly she treated employees. My daughter and son in law have both experienced her unethical behavior in court. Do not be fooled by this woman when you first meet her. She is NOT what she appears to be. It's been several years since I had my terrible experience with Ms. Williams. I hesitated posting a review about Ms. Williams due to my children working in the court system at that time. If you want good representation no matter what the cause, do not walk but run from Barbara Coyle Williams!
