We all make idiotic mistakes in our youth. When we were told, "this will go down on your permanent record," we assumed that meant the high school principal would write something down on our file with a permanent marker, and some years later, it would be discarded in waste bin along with everything else that had lost its luster. Indiana boys on Indiana nights. The cheap beer will flow forever. The girls will never get married, my Ford will always be faster than your Chevy, so on etc.
As we all know, nothing that fun lasts forever, and with fits and starts and several minor transgressions with the law, we all take our lumps and move on with life and apply all the same vigor to our careers as was once applied to requisitioning beer kegs for late night skinny dipping sessions at the cutouts on Lake Monroe. A decade later, there's a great job, stellar resume, mortgage, wife/husband, and also a looming FBI NCIC record that indicates the only job that you should be qualified for is scrubbing toilets and/or flipping hamburgers at the local Micky D's despite your degree and awesome resume. Thanks 9/11. You say to yourself, "This was over a decade ago. Seriously? Why does the time I was busted taking bong hits on the roof of a moving car show up as a reckless endangerment charge on my FBI profile? Can't I just get this stuff expunged under this new expungement law and be done with it?"
This is where Guy comes in. Now, you may think that Indiana's new Indiana expungement law is cut and dry, and that anyone can request to have their records sealed if they qualify -- and I truly believe that was the intent of the law -- but in practice it is a bit different. From my own experience (and I had more than one in several counties), there are multitudes of ways for the judge, prosecutor, clerk, and everyone else in the courthouse to hi-jinx your petition, regardless of it's merit. The hypocrisy inflames me. If this were a speeding ticket that you refused to pay, they'd be issuing a warrant for your arrest and garnishing your wages. But flipping the coin, if you ask them to comply with the law on your own behalf, they will just ignore your request and throw it in a drawer somewhere citing some procedural rule or bureaucratic precedent for not taking it seriously. I'm quite certain that Themis, the blind-folded Goddess of Justice, must be out taking a dump on the courthouse steps when this happens.. but there it is... Indiana justice.
I hired the Doctor for the situation described above after failed attempts by another lawyer that wasn't quite as dedicated as Guy. I went with Doctor Haskell after reading reviews and talking to some of my local friends from High School (Panther Pride!). He's the real deal. No joke. As stated above, as of today, it doesn't matter whether or not if you are well within your rights to have your records expunged. THEY WILL IGNORE YOU. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU. You need someone that will fight for you, and Dr. HASKELL WILL FIGHT FOR YOU.
I conclude with Hillel's famous quote, "If I am not for myself, who will be for me?" The simple answer is that you should always be for yourself, but you also need to enlist the help of a dedicated honest professional to help you in your fight. That's part of being for yourself, and Dr. Guy Haskell is your man. I have never met a more honest lawyer in my life, and it is my sincerest hopes that I will never have faculty to call on another one again; but if I did, Guy will always be my first call.
For those of you out there that are like me but are hesitating... party animals from the Bloomington abyss... have no fear. Guy's rates are very reasonable and well worth the price. Trust me. Do it, you'll be glad you did. Waking up in the morning with a clean slate is a refreshing feeling. It's worth every penny. Don't give up. Call him now.

I hired Guy during 2015. A year after graduating college, it was a very stressful time transitioning to a whole new way of living post college. During that transition I started to abuse alcohol more than I had during college and started making very risky decisions about my safety. I was involved in 2 situations involving alcohol abuse, and damage to other peoples property. I was in trouble from summer 2014 and had a public defender when I had a similar blackout event take place that resulted in damage to other peoples property. When I was questioned about the later events that took place, the legal situation for me turned from troublesome to downright scary. It didn't feel like it mattered to the prosecutor what had actually happened but rather only mattered what it looked like... and what might be able to stick if they threw it at me. I looked for a lawyer who had a high rating and was flexible to meeting with me and towards payment.
Guy actually helped calm me down and get me put on the track towards repairing both my behavioral issues and alcohol abuse but also helped encourage me to actually make a change and do a bit of growing up. He worked with me on his fees and was understanding of my financial situation as a recent grad still waiting to be hired for my first salaried position after graduating.
He helped walk me through the process of dealing with the police, the process of improving my situation not only legally in the view of the courts but also for my overall future wellbeing.
He was able to minimize the impact on my ability to work as well when he reached an understanding with the police and prosecution that kept me from being arrested for the second group of charges.
Guy was able to keep me focused on the right things during the long legal process. He can seem a bit busy at times, but he did a great job of meeting with me when it was convenient for me and made time outside normal business hours.
He didn't give me false hope and evaluated possible outcomes realistically. We had a stroke of luck in my legal situation granting us exactly what we wanted: a misdemeanor guilty plea with a year of probation and an earned dismissal petition at the end of probation. (A great deal considering everything and what the prosecution originally wanted to see happen.) I am glad I went with Guy for my cases and it felt good to have the judge speak positive an encouraging words towards me and our effort to make changes and improvements to my life.
A humble man in my opinion, and that sincerity goes along way toward helping solve the root cause of the problem, instead of just "getting me out of trouble".
Consequences are still there but hope and growing are more important towards life, two things Guy definitely helped me do.

Guy was somehow able to get my Operating While Intoxicated charge reduced to a Public Intoxication charge. He was very good at explaining the process and sticking with us throughout. Guy made a very scary situation a lot less stressful and immediately made me feel more comfortable. Thanks Guy!

I hired guy to represent my case a few months back and he did an excellent job with my case to eventually get charges dropped. I was very much in need of some legal advice and he was always there when I needed anything throughout my time working with him. He was very easy to contact and provided quality service throughout y entire experience. I stand behind endorsing him 100% and I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of criminal legal advice, and he accomplished everything that was promised to me from day one. I really appreciate all of the hard work he put into my case and I know that he would do the same for anyone else who would consider to hire him for his services.

I knew I was in good hands when I first met Guy. He immediately calmed my fears and put things in perspective. I had made a clerical error when registering a deer online that I had legally hunted and killed....a mistake I didn't know about until the DNR was at my door one night.
I found myself charged with a class C misdemeanor. I tried to see the DA to explain what happened, but no one would listen. Guy went to court on my behalf and got the whole thing dropped. He even called has soon as it was over. Guy also filed the paperwork to have my decades old record expunged. He had to do a lot of research since all of these records were buried ( no internet or computers back then). He was very thorough and sent me a copy of the final decree via e-mail. His rates are reasonable and he is willing to work with you. Guy talks to you like you are buddies in a coffee shop. He really puts you at ease. One last thing I would like to mention is that he returns your calls quickly. He doesn't make you wait for days like some people.

Guy helped us with our 18 year old son who made a mistake. He was kind but real with our son. He treated us all with the upmost respect. Would definitely seek his counsel again.

Guy did a fantastic job on my case. He got everything done very quickly and was in communication with me throughout the process. Pricing was very fair as well. I would highly recommend.

Guy was a big help when seeking legal council for my second OWI/DWI case. He was knowledgeable about the legal process and was well respected in the courtroom. He exchanged correspondence with the prosecutor and had a plea deal set shortly after retaining him for my case. Generally, any day at the courthouse is stressful; however, this past experience was a breeze, and went very smoothly. He has a little higher retainer for his services, but I would not chance my freedom to a second rate lawyer, which Mr. Haskell is most certainly not.

Guy is a quick responder and he gave me all the information I needed. He also kept me up to date with how everything was going and when my case would be cleared.

Guy helped me resolve an interesting situation with my college student, Having never travelled this path before and doing it remotely, I needed help. Guy was a rock. His open and honest advice, availability and guidance was invaluable to sort through a lot of stuff I didn't understand, at first, to ultimately get to a good spot for all, a good life lesson spot for said student.... Don't want to travel path again.. But if you need someone to help you navigate rough waters... Guy is your guy... Highly recommend... Quality service, quality person.
