I was born and raised in Anderson, Indiana, the son of a carpenter and a homemaker. I attended Lapel High School in Lapel, Indiana and then went on to Indiana University and obtained a degree in Telecommunications and English. During the summers between school I worked for my dad's construction company. At IU, I worked toward my dream of being a TV broadcaster. But somewhere on the way, Law became my calling. In Law School at Valparaiso University, I developed a passion for criminal law when I interned with a criminal defense lawyer in Porter County.
After graduation from law school, I took my first job as a law clerk for the Honorable Judge Daniel Heath of the Allen County Superior Court. I then went to work for a criminal defense firm in Fort Wayne before starting my own firm with one of my current partners, Gregory Miller, in 2001. Since then, Jeffrey Terrill and Albert Anzini, III have joined us. We continue to defend the accused with passion.
I am happily married since 1999 and have three children who are my purpose in life. I am a tortured Chicago Cubs fan as well, but love every minute of it.
