I am committed to public interest and serving the community. I serve on various boards throughout the community, including, but not limited to: Indianapolis Bar Association Steering Committee; Mentoring Women's Network, PFJr Foundation, Indianapolis Bar Association Law Student Executive Board; Indiana University Alumni Board; Indiana University Purdue Indianapolis Legal Services Committee; National Association of Professional Women, as well as Indiana State Bar's Diversity Committee, Civil Rights of Children Committee, as well as the ADR Section. I am the Past-President of the Indianapolis Equal Justice Works Chapter. I am also extremely active in our state bar's Young Lawyer's Section, serving as the current Wellness Chair.
I am extremely involved with family law, as I am an ABA and ISBA Family Law Member. I serve on the IBA Family Law Executive Board as well as the Marion County Family Law Local Rules Committee. I also serve as a consultant for the Indiana Supreme Court's Family Law Pilot Project. Additionally, I volunteer my time to represent worthy pro bono family law appeals for the Indiana State Bar Appellate Pro Bono Project.
In addition to providing the highest degree of representation to my clients, I am dedicated to raising money for public interest law, including for Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis’ Law Repayment Assistance Program. I volunteer at various organizations throughout the community which serve the underprivileged and pursue equal access to justice, including, but not limited to: Disability Legal Services of Indiana; Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence; Center for Victim and Human Rights; and other such organizations.
I am fluent in American Sign Language and I utilize this skill to pursue my passion of meeting the legal needs and challenges of the Deaf Community throughout Indiana.
