Mr Tomb recently represented me in a custody case. His misleading initial free advice led me to retain his services to handle a case that any average Attorney would not have recommended to pursue. The result an absolute debacle. The case started with his inability to make any argument at the first hearing when asked by the Magistrate to explain on what grounds should an emergency custody order be granted. Couldn't make the argument because what he used to convince me that I had a case and sign an agreement with him would not fly with the Magistrate. Next, I found out that court papers were served only 2 days prior to the first hearing leading to continuance being granted. There was really no explanation provided to me. Then when I personally reached a agreement with the defendant, my requests to take the appropriate actions to close the case were met with confusion from his part and no response from his staff. That resulted in 2 additional costly trips to the court... Just one more thing to add to attest to the level of negligence I have experienced: Mr Tomb couldn't figure out that the defendant year end pay stub he reviewed and used for support calculations was actually only for a portion of the year. The defendant changed jobs that year and provided only the last stub. You can imagine the consequences to me? I had to make him aware of his mistake and correct the calculations... There's is more but i will stop here.
