About me

My practices is primarily in the area of estate and tax planning and estate, trust and guardianship administration.  I am an Ohio State Bar Association Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trusts and Probate Law.  In 2008 through 2012, I was named as an "Ohio Super Lawyer" in a legal publication known as "Ohio Super Lawyers" as well as being named in the Best Lawyers in Southern Ohio and The Best Lawyers in America 2010-2013.  In 2011 and 2013 I was named as a Five Star Wealth Manager.

I frequently meet with clients to formulate an estate plan which meets their specific goals for their families while also minimizing or deferring taxes, as well as avoiding the probate process.  The estate planning documents prepared by me are both complete and comprehensible.

With former background in litigation, I have developed a niche in the area of probate litigation.  I have experience representing litigants in actions involving the contests of wills, interpretations of trusts as well as contested guardianship proceedings.  I also have significant other related litigation experience including but not limited to personal injury litigation.  My litigation background assists me in the drafting of estate planning documents with an eye toward avoiding future litigation.

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Legal Administration from Ball State University and her Law Degree from Northern Kentucky University Chase College of Law, where I graduated with honors. I have lectured for the Cincinnati Bar Association and other professional and public groups on estate planning and probate related topics. I also co-authored an article concerning estate plan drafting with a focus on avoiding post death litigation as well as a recent subsequent article concerning the pros and cons of estate planning to avoid the probate process after death.  Both articles were published by a national professional publication.

I am admitted to practice law before all courts of the State of Ohio and Commonwealth of Kentucky as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.  I am a member of the Cincinnati, Ohio and Kentucky Bar Associations and also currently serves as an appointed member of the Events Committee for the Cincinnati Bar Foundation and was elected Vice President of the Estate Planning Council of Northern Kentucky. I previously served as a volunteer with the Cincinnati Association of the Blind.
