Attorney Vu joined Cooper, Adel & Associates to pursue his interest in estate planning. Attorney Vu has been instrumental in developing the firm's advanced estate planning strategies including special trusts designed to protect and preserve the assets of many Ohio families. He has been closely involved in assisting our clients who are Veterans and their surviving spouses to apply for benefits and to coordinate those benefits with other programs. Attorney Vu is among a select group of attorneys in the State of Ohio who have been admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals For Veterans Claims in addition to receiving accreditation from the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Dan is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association. Attorney Vu has spoken to groups around Ohio about the estate planning implications related to hydraulic fracking (oil and gas from shale) as well as trust and estate planning problems that are unique to farming families in Ohio. He is also a contributing author to the book, Over the Hill and Under Obamacare, that discusses the impact of Obamacare on seniors.
Attorney Vu graduated from Miami University with an undergraduate degree, majoring in Political Science and obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. After working for a Special Counsel to the Ohio Attorney General, Attorney Vu joined Cooper, Adel & Associates, where he was promoted to Senior Associate Elder Law Attorney in 2012. Attorney Vu and his wife were born and raised near Cincinnati. They enjoy frequent visits to local museums and parks. In particular, they are proud members of the historical Cincinnati Museum Center. When not researching the latest estate planning techniques, Dan enjoys taking time to learn more about our country's history. As they say, you can’t know where you are going until you know where you have been.

For the past four years I have had the pleasure of working with Dan, he has a superior grasp of trust agreements including Ohio's newest Legacy Trust. He is considered a "go to" for negotiations for clients who have estate recovery issues or veterans benefits claims. He has also shown great leadership with his staff. I would recommend Dan for all Elder Law or Estate Planning issues.
